One thing I never seem to see anyone talk about is that around 1850s we got out of a 200 year little ice age. The winters were brutal to say the least. There is much written on how the winters during the war were extreme, and many rivers that after 1850 have seen little or zero freezing were a common occurrence back then. It also didn't help that one volcano in 1815 quickly lowered global temperatures by as much as a crazy 3 degrees, and was known as the year with no summer.

Come forward 170 years and it is hard to say what is true change with large human involvement or just normalizing after an extremely harsh period.

I seen that idiotic video that you just linked. How come Miami is not flooded yet Greven? That was just another failed prediction.

Idiotic? Maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions (or perhaps not ignore the rest of my post if you actually care about reality and science instead of just political posturing).

It doesn't mention when it will be flooded, but it most certainly has been before and will be again - water levels were 200 feet higher than they are now, once upon a time.

Do you care about reality? Are you ever going to answer the simple question I asked?

I watched the video and it was so out there in reefer madness style of fear mongering I didn't think you had a further point.

I will have to go back and review the other hard hitting info in the post. Please stand by.

Did you read the CIA report?
Do you deny that a couple years of heavy frost and crop failures will lead to the starvation of millions of people?
Do you care about reality?

Reefer madness?

Are you kidding me? It's a segment from The Unchained Goddess - Bell Science Hour from 1958 - part of a series with the objective to promote public understanding of science amongst adults and children.

A 1974 CIA report seems so very relevant to today, especially given how the author puts this little disclaimer at the beginning:

the views and conclusions contained herein are those of the author and should not be interpreted as necessarily representing the official position, either expressed or implied, of the Central Intelligence Agency

Deniers will just deny and say that the sea level has been rising for a constant rate for the last 150 years. What they don't acknowledg is that without the C02 pollution the sea level would probalby be going down by now and we could expand the coastal cities. They have their heads in the sand until they will be choking and dying from the C02. I hope we develop a way to get all this pollution out of our air, every last little bit, and that can only happen by raising taxes to research it.

It's your science, and it's unreliable.
From: instrumentation-equality; calibration; repeat-ability; collection; to the choice of places, and people responsible for collecting the raw data, none of it could be considered even close to pure unquestionable science. a reply to: Nothin

AMEN that is the facts,

You consider CO2 to be pollution? seriously??

You think that without CO2 that sea levels would fall?? CO2 is infinitesimal in the grand scheme of "greenhouse" gases, you know that, right?

You want to EXPAND coastal cities, thereby propagating the problems? Cities are what CAUSE pollution!

You want to completely remove CO2 from the air??? You do realize that every last stem of vegetation on this planet would die, right? You know that vegetation cannot survive without CO2, right?

OK, so Global warming is bunk. Not a surprise.

Still, why shouldn't we steer away from Coal-fired, Nuclear and Gas when we could easily invest in other energies that now exist and are far less pollutant.

I suppose the issue is that supporting solar power means supporting solar panels, the majority being made in China. Solar Thermal....not working out so well I hear with the Ivanpah solar thermal plant. So photovoltaic is the way to go. And to combat the issue of not supporting china western countries would need to create their own research, development and manufacturing industries to support this technology. I wonder how many jobs that would create?

But we all know the US, Australia and the rest of the western world have no interest turning away from Oil, Coal and gas....no interest in stopping the money flow to the middle-east....no interest in creating new industries. No interest in ACTUALLY moving forward.
