If the reports are correct that the calculations were done on, every rocket scientist on Twitter is confirming this to be an ICBM that puts the entire state of Alaska within range.

EDIT: intercontinental ballistic missile CONFIRMED - This is a game changer.

No ICBM . No Alaska range. They cant even barely get em off the launch pad . And when they do , they go outta control . They gonna wind up nukin themselves.
No world intervention required.

All the reports I see indicate it is an intermediate-range ballistic missile not an ICBM.

Government cover up in my opinion, to keep from enforcing a red line that at one point existed, but
the rocket experts said that the press team for US Coms are almost always wrong on their definitions.

That was hour and a half ago.
I've been waiting to see how it would take to be posted here.
Had this been the real deal, nobody would have known WWIII had started before the "Kill Switch" had been activated.

Reading some articles lately about our country trying to taunt China and other countries ....I am beginning to sense we will be in a major world war in the next couple of years. If China and Russia get together, we are in some do do.

Wrong, they have over a 70% success rate now and if this stands, their first test ever of an ICBM was a success.

No surprise this happens close to o the fourth of July.

An attempt to test Trump. Not that I have any particular faith and or idea of what he'd do...

But wasn't it a few days ago they discovered trillions of dollars worth of minerals in North Korea?

I'd suggest chubby crap haircut read the history of US "enemies"... He was safe when we thought the only asset they had was poverty.

That's fine, as long as they keep landing in the ocean lol. This is just melodrama, otherwise.

That's where they're aimed, they can't test them firing over Russia, China, South Korea or Japan.

It's not fine, they're being fired straight up and they are accurate.

Fine until they land somewhere else.
Then not melodrama.

Sea of Japan.

The environmentalists must be incensed. South Korea has polluted that portion of The Sea of Japan with at least 10 toxic missiles this year alone, haven't they?

This is going to get messy.

Regardless of whether the missile hit anything or not is meaningless. They are making progress.

Here's a recent post-launch analysis from last month...

""The tested projectile, the Hwasong-12, is a brand new intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) in North Korea’s arsenal — and it did better than any missile the country has ever tested. It was purposely shot at a high angle to avoid directly hitting a surrounding country, but it still traveled 489 miles and got as high as 1,312 miles, according to North Korea’s state-run news agency — and landed near Russia. If it were fired properly, it could have traveled about 2,500 miles, according to experts.

This is a really big deal: It means that North Korea’s threats that it can hit US territory aren’t so empty anymore. Guam — which is a US territory and is home to Andersen Air Force Base — is now within Pyongyang’s reach. And according to a North Korean statement (always to be taken with a grain of salt), the Hwasong-12 can carry a nuclear warhead.""

It will be interesting to see if today's test went higher/farther.

ATS has really slowed down on reporting breaking news the lady few years.

I recommend you all enable mobile notifications for some news accounts in twitter. One of them is BNON News for example. Maybe then we can get faster posts on ATS!

On Topic: North Korea is going to make an announcement in a few hours

When the South Korean president was visiting Washington last week, President Trump said that his patience with North Korea was exhausted..or something like that. Did Trump mean his patience with North Korea testing missiles? That's about all they're doing on a regular basis.
