Woah there. I'm not talking about making everyone "rich" - I'm talking about upping the percentage of people who are self sufficient and don't need assistance from entitlement programs to meet their basic needs...

There's a big difference.

Robots create more issues than they solve right now, unless they are planning on taking away our healthcare and letting us all die...hahaha!

Oh wait...

I am tired of drivel. The first thing the Gov does is start axing welfare, snap, ssi, and raise/lower taxes. It's the same ponzi scheme with just another face. Congress gives themselves a raise while the rest struggle from paycheck to paycheck. So we have 100 or so military bases spread out all over the world bleeding America dry and they ax welfare and then drop cash on some foreign 3rd world country to help with their economy and welfare! It doesn't make any sense! However, it makes perfect sense when you're a criminal politician. I think every politician should have their finances investigated. You might not like what you find. As the old saying goes follow the money trail.

This gov is over. I knew that when they first lied about the unemployment rate at 5%. Then they come out and say 100 million workers are out of a job and not contributing to taxes. So if you have 320 million population and 200 million are within the working age and 1/2 of that are unemployed, how can that possibly be only 5%?? I guess they forgot to add a 0 on the end of that 5%. Back in 2008 the sky was falling with 10.6 trillion debt and here we are twice that debt and everything is just peachy. Collapse is coming soon folks no doubt about it and Trump isn't going to fix anything.

When digital currency is worth twice as much as gold, then you know this house of cards is coming down. It's going to be ugly. Many of these chumps in office have a dual citizenship in other countries. So when the SHTF they can just board a plane retreat to the comfort of their cottage bungalow and watch the rest of us burn.

Then its probably a good idea for those on benefits to lose them before SHTF.

I was sleeping on a sidewalk and had 0 $. No assets nothing.

Guess what? I wasn't eligable for food stamps. I was starving to death.

I had to get help from a church. I ate maybe 4 or 5 times a week.

So you wanna know what I did?
I went and applied for employment, within a few days I got it. Then the $$$ came in.

Out of those 40 million people using food stamps more than half can do what I did.

Half of these homeless guys out here sell their food stamps for cash to buy beer and drugs. This is a fact. Most of the sober ones don't get assistance. Not sure how that works out but its reality on the streets.

I'm down here in the trenches I've seen the truth. This system is being abused.

I support the cuts. They need to crack down on businesses that buy food stamps for cash 2 to 1 also. They are enabling this abuse.

I worked as a cashier in a Whole Foods for a small while. The registers had a direct view into the parking lot. The amount of entitled jerks paying for food with EBT (food stamps) and driving away in a spit shined Maserati or Tesla was quite frankly astonishing. The receipts would also show the balance of their accounts and I couldn't believe how much free money was being given away.

I've seen it first hand... this system is HEAVILY abused, and clearly the criteria for acquiring "help" needs to be revised.

And on a related note... why is EBT allowed at grocers with such terrible "bang for buck" ala Whole Foods?

Social security already gives huge checks to the disabled or elderly by the way. Most I see get around 700 or so a month.

With a section8 voucher they can get rent for 50 to 200 usually, and I think LIHEAP or whatever it's called will cover electric.

The food stamp program could shrink 75% and people could survive.

On the other hand, we could also cut the F-35 program by 100billion $ and lower taxes, fix infrastructure, fund public works, etc.

There's tons of cuts we need to make. 90% of all govt spending is waste. Half or more of govt jobs are just leeching. They play on their phones all day and get mad when you interrupt them needing service.

This govt is a complete disaster folks.

Could we wait until Trumps wall is started before we start cutting? I have a yugggeee investment both personally and burrowed money for a LLC vendor/service contract on that "WALL"

You gotta understand man, I was living on a sidewalk and literally starving to death. I refused to panhandle so I was in deep.

So of course I want food stamps cut.

If the truly dignified man starving to death because he lost his family home and everything cannot get food stamps - something is incredibly wrong.

If I survived without it than so can 90% of the rest of them. I believe in exceptions but we need to be very strict and monitor usage very closely.

There's a minimum amount of income needed for basic survival. After that, it's all discretionary spending.

Simply determine and set a minimum income below which nobody pays taxes, and let the higher earners pay what is needed to keep the society going.

We could tax them 100% and not be enough...hehe also about 40% of low income do not pay federal taxes anyways..they got these loopholes too.

So, say, if you earn less than $250,000 USD per year, you pay no tax. Above that, you pay tax at a rate that sustains the system.

What we have today, is that "only the little people pay taxes", the rich use loopholes and offshore tax havens to pay no tax at all.

Outside of the very poor (lets call it 20,000 and under) EVERYONE should pay at least 10%

Very few are actually doing what you suggest. Tax evasion is a big crime and the number of offshore accounts have dwindled, so your view is old and is skewed by left propaganda. Just fix the tax loop holes is that not simple enough? lol Today for those who make more than 10 million per year have about a 20% chance to get audit, someone like Trump gets audit every year.

Here is the true breakdown of the top 5%

The rich of the very rich still average 35%, and if we pushed those who make 10 million or more it would generate about 100 billion more per 10% increase. Not huge gains that so many think would happen.

Believe me. I know what you mean if not in quite the same way. Husband and I reached out once in college after we were married when we hit a really tight spot just to see if there was something that would ease is through a couple of months.

We were told the only way to qualify was to go all or nothing ... oh, and I had to get pregnant!

So, here we were admitting that we couldn't be responsible for ourselves at that point in time even with jobs because of how life had hit us, and here's the lady telling us we could only qualify if we become much less responsible - no jobs and bring a third mouth into the picture while we're at it!

Whenever you "buy" something you pay much more tax that that 10% already.

All through the production and distribution process there are costs and taxes that get automatically added to each step along the way.

Why pay more tax than that?

By the time the product or service has reached the end user for "consumption" it has "value added" various taxes already paid to the government.

Income tax should be abolished. If you're not consuming, you shouldn't be taxed. Nobody should be taxed for "working" and "producing" things we need in the society.

Only when you "consume" things, are you "drawing down the resources" of the environment.

If I don't buy a "battery", then I'm not contributing to the "land fill problem."

All income tax does, is enable the government to keep "tabs" on people, get all their private information, and use that to control the masses.

Income tax is not needed for "revenues", but for "control."

You don't know what you are talking about and are generalizing Black people based off where you live. The most ancient race of people on the planet will be just fine regardless of what happens.

I would argue that the poster you have taken umbrage with is not 'generalizing' but is stating an uncomfortable truth that black-people refuse to acknowledge; namely that 'African-Americans' are disproportionately likely to be involved in violent crime and disproportionately dependent on state-benefits.

As for the reasons for the black-persons propensity for violence and rampant desire for free-stuff; it could be genetic, environmental, cultural or, easiest to justify to yourself, 'da white mans' fault - You tell me.

As for you being the most 'ancient race of people on this planet'; there is so much wrong with this sentence both grammatically and factually I can only face-palm and suggest you visit a building called a 'library' where you will finds strange items called 'books.' Using 'books' you can improve your poor knowledge of anthropology - That is if you can tear yourself away from pseudo-scientific sites that tell you how your black ancestors built the pyramids and that you invented everything.

Stop leeching and start contributing.

I think most Americans have a heart and don't want anyone to starve, especially children. I know that corporations are getting away with greed and corruptions, but the average person usually doesn't see this on an intimate level. food stamp abuse is rampant. I was in the grocery store, the lady in front of me was young and healthy (she was not AA). She bought a case of snickers, a case of red bull and an entire cart of junk food, even prepared peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. She purchased it all with food stamps. Snickers and Redbull is this really what our tax dollars are paying for? How do I know she paid for it with food stamps? The display actually says so. Don't believe me, go to Woodman's grocery anywhere in Wisconsin and wait in line and you will see 1/3 of the people there are paying that way and the display will actually say Food Stamps!

While I do not necessarily agree with this, Snap needs a serious audit.. so many people gaming the system so they can keep their benefits while driving a brand new escalade because their common law husband/wife makes really good money... but since they dont have the court house paper saying they are married they can stay on snap sucking up money that could be used to actually help people.

That's not gaming the system. Those material assets belong to the other person if they're not married. That's not hard to understand.

I love doing this...

Easy analogy: Which dog will be more aggressive? The dog kept in the house, well fed and given all the amenities in life, or the one tossed in the backyard, chastised constantly, treated unfairly and abused.

Again...easy.

So yes, rather than wallow in poverty while white America lives it up off stolen wealth at the same time flaunting it via media, many blacks choose to partake in nefarious activities to get their piece of the American pie.

Speaking of nefarious activities...nothing black people are committing now were not committed by white people before the government issued them massive welfare.

Propensity for violence...the neanderthal gene in Caucasian make them the most violent organism on this planet lol! Let us ask the native American's were it blacks or Caucasians who decimated them?

Exactly HOW can black people not be the original race lmao! I will enjoy the mental gymnastics you will attempt to support your suggestion!

And libraries are fine, depending upon the one used. They have a tendency to be like "God's of Egypt" white-washed.

If black people didn't build the pyramids who did? If it were Caucasians they really need to leave you guys the recipe for the sun block they used hundreds of thousands of years ago!

So you think money should be going to a family that can actually afford a highly expensive vehicle... Heck on active duty I could not afford an escalade and several people on this website have said on a number of occasions that military are over paid.

I have known Airmen E-3 with a wife and 2 kids that could not get food stamps... driving a beat up old car because that was all they could afford.

In case that was to subtle... If you can afford (back in 07) a 60k dollar car... you do not need to be on food stamps.. period that is gaming the system.

These are people that live together... have children together... they are married in all ways except the court house...

Haven't read through the entire thread and already know what I'll find if I do:

Caucasians who live in a stolen country, living off a system implemented by their forefathers which utilized stolen black labor to enrich the country. And create a global system called white supremacy which gives most Caucasians worth a darn the cheat code to life.

If you're white and can't succeed in this society, you truly are a piece of work lol.

It wasn't an attack, it was a statement. An attempt to keep this thread from being treated like a mud pit where you can just slang manure everywhere.

As I stated, I work with the department responsible for issuing SNAP. I recognize the lies and exaggerations.
