This mornings class will deal with the monetary system and slavery.
The end of the class should leave you with the knowledge that you
are a slave to the monetary system (money). You may also wake up
to the fact that thru the world wide system of money, you are
forced to love money. And there we have the first item in todays
lesson.

THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.

Now if this knowledge diminishes or has already diminished your
love for money well, good on you. But you are still a slave to
it. At this point one might ask how could person be a slave to
or even love something so objective? And while it could be argued
that people choose to love money to avoid the fact that money
enslaves them. This labor of love is still objective and there for
vague. So to clear the matter I have a question for the class?

Who owns this?

Answer that and your slavery and love become much more
subjective. And remember dead or not we all understand
inheretance and the answer is staring you in the face.
Money and you are a shared commodity.

Class Dismissed!

Well, if that large-faced Benjamin is in my pocket, I technically "own it", but it's really just an IOU from the Federal Reserve, which doesn't have anything to give me in exchange (aka it is "fiat").

Good lesson, thanks for putting this together. I like the concept of "ATS Kindergarten". Will you be the teacher for our K-4 classes?

Hmm i don't give a # about money but it's necessary to survive in this world. I guess we truly are slaves with the illusion of freedom. Greed is also a huge problem in our society. Though it's strange that people with lots of money are more prone to fall into a depressive state. The saying money can't buy you happines only counts for people who have enough money. I guess a poor person could buy their happines. Well the whole wealth destribution is #ed up anyways.

The distortion of perceived "ownership" is entirely subjective. It is also the true underlying basis for the fallacy that is our monetary system in the first place.

No one actually "owns" anything...particularly money, because it doesn't even actually exist. And it never did in the first place. But people have been so skillfully programmed to believe that it does, they almost worship it. They devote the vast majority of their existences to the goal of obtaining it, while bitterly complaining about what an evil, soul sucking, abhorrent bitch it is the whole time.

That is way beyond enslavement. It is more like Stockholm Syndrome on steroids. Lots of steroids. And we did it to ourselves. We're still doing it. And unless the distortion of money is removed entirely, we will not stop. The belief is so strong that we cannot live without it that we willingly allow the cycle to perpetuate. The enslavement is entirely our own. The abolition of it will have to be of our own design as well...and unfortunately this does not appear to be a topic of much interest. Awesome of you to address it, however.

Money is simply an accounting tool that is used to help keep track of the work people have done and the things they've sold.

It's used to keep the books straight.

Wow that is obviously a rebuttal that represents a lot
of forethought in regards to todays lesson. A+

So teacher, a question from the class. If we are slaves to the monetary system and the working monetary system for most of us is capitalism, what does that say about capitalism. I think Marx suggested that we are slaves to capitalism also.

But here is my question. Many will say that what we now live in is not capitalism but some form or crony-capitalism or maybe some bastardized and demented version of capitalism and not the real thing that ''nature' and it's hidden hand have brought forth for us to regulate our economic interchanges. If this is the case, that we have allowed it to become such a mess as it is, just how is it that the hidden hand of capitalism did not prevent this from becoming the case in the first place.

Many will point to this or that and discussion along those lines is relevant, but for me, for any of those possibilities to be the case, it must point to fallacies within the basic capitalist philosophy itself.

I think you touch on it well here tiger. It is a matter of consciousness, that our very consciousness is entwined with our mediums of exchange and how we regulate or interactions.

In a manner, it occurs to me that the present system of exchange is fundamentally based, not on fair and equal exchange but rather the advantage one can secure at the expense of another. To me, it seems a predatory system.

Who/What CONTROLS the monetary system might be a good place to find the answer. Perhaps you'll find out it's the same person(s) behind every other system that targets our perception/reality.

Good place to start Anon. Yes, who does control it. Many here will easily say that it is controlled by those who can be labeled socialist. But that makes no real sense to me. Rather it would seem that those in control of this monetary system are in one form or another those who can be labeled capitalists.

Of course you make a great point and as for this "Hidden hand".
I would say ( and I'm just a kindergarten teacher) the same thing
about the face on the bill. It's only representative of a much
larger cabal or shall we say " Shadow gov." for lack of a better
term. Of course not everyone is open to such a concept and
there in lay the problem. Being privy to enough money should
and I believe does make one immune to representing ownership
when you can pay someone to do that. Dead Presidents. Again
I'm no professor.
