Hello from a lurker

Hello ATS
I discovered this website about 4 years ago while researching some info for hubby and have been a weekly lurker since.
I love conspiracy theories for the simple fact that they make you think. It's fun for me and hubby listens to everything I find and talk about.
I've sent a number of people to this site because of the religion and ancient civilization forums.
I probably won't post much, just because I don't have TIME to research topics of interest. But I will continue reading and searching!

Some personal info: I'm happily married, mother of one, conservative Trump supporter, server, and amateur digital artist.

Here are some helpful tips on navigating around this place.

The top row has shortcuts to the most used items: ATS Home Page, Top, New, Recent, Forums, Archive, etc.
Once there you will either see threads listed, or, links to more subjects.

If you choose the thread title, you end up on Page 1 of that thread. You can choose other pages by the little number(s) below the thread title (they're in green). If there is the Forum icon next to thread, you can click on that to jump to that particular Forum.

If you want to see the last reply in a thread, select the MemberName to the far right (just past the “reply” and “flag” icons) and that will jump you what that member posted.

If you are in a thread and see “reply to” and some text and wonder what the heck they are talking about, hit the “reply to” and you get to see the post being responded to pop up in a small window! That is one advantage of membership!

Hey Teot, nice of you to post that, but I can do all that stuff when I'm not signed in, aka lurking.
Or is it a case that ATS detects my IP and allows me to do that even though I'm not signed in?

Thank you for the info! Most of the stuff can be done without signing in but I'll make use of the help forums!

I don't think the "reply to" works in Lurk Mode. Maybe I'll check it out in a bit.

The "look" is different. Like the "green" is some dull color in Lurk Mode. This can be a little confusing so just trying to help!

Main thing is the ads!! Those drive me nuts. If I'm not posting anything, I still login just to keep those ads from running.
