The White House said on Monday it appears the Syrian government is preparing for another chemical weapons attack and it warned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad he and his military would "pay a heavy price" if it conducts such an attack.

The White House statement said preparations by Syria were similar to those undertaken before an April 4 chemical attack that killed dozens of civilians and prompted President Donald Trump to order a cruise missile strike on a Syrian air base.

ca.news.yahoo.com...

I was very upset at the Trump admins strike on Syria earlier this year. Now they just shot down a Syrian plane, and Israel is striking Syria.

I have been upset at the US Syria policy ever since we got involved. We are arming "rebels" that we know are Al-Qaeda. It makes no sense.

I have been skeptical of Assads supposed chemical weapons attacks, and propaganda such as the White Helmets.

Now we have news that in all of this escalation, Trump is drawing a red line on this impending chemical weapons attack.

Meanwhile, just this week, this story came out.

A top U.S. missile and chemical weapons expert has documented for months that the Syrian government did not carry out a chemical weapons attack against civilians, and that contrary claims by the Trump White House, French intelligence services, the New York Times, CNN and other “mainstream” sources are wrong … and worthless propaganda.

Former top military and intelligence officials – including many who warned against the faulty Iraq intelligence in advance of the Iraq war – have long said that the claims that Assad carried out the chemical weapons attacks was bunkum.

Pulitzer-prize winning investigative reporter Seymour Hersh – who broke the stories of the Mai Lai massacre in Vietnam and the Iraq prison torture scandals, which rightfully disgraced the Nixon and Bush administrations’ war-fighting tactics – reported yesterday in the large German publication Weld that U.S. military officials tried to tell Trump that a chemical weapons attack never occurred at all:

www.zerohedge.com...

No does this prove that there was no chemical attack by Assad? Not at all.

But it seems very shaky. There has been no proof whatsoever to show Assad was responsible. Further more, he would have no incentive to do this.

In addition, this all reeks of exactly what happened in Libya, where Qaddafi told the world that the US was arming Islamic extremists, and sure enough, he was right and the country is far worse off now.

There is alot going on behind the scenes here.

Did Trump finally bury the hatchet with the intelligence community by giving them a war they wanted? Is Trump just believing propaganda by these people? Is it just Trump that is blood thirsty?

Or perhaps it is as all seems, and Assad did use chemical weapons and will continue to do so?

Either way, the situation seems to be escalating quickly, and I am worried about the implications.

Perhaps the leftists and neo cons will finally get the war with Russia they have been clamoring for

It might just be the 2020 strategy.

Start a war, run as a war president, win.

I wouldn't put it past some of his advisors to think like that.

This issue has been one I have followed closely for a long time. I have a good friend who is from Aleppo and I have discussed this at length with him.

These chemical attacks are the definition of false flags. White helmets are aligned with the terrorists we support and call "moderate". One of the photographers has his picture taken with the scum that beheaded a young boy and put the video online.

We have been funding and arming mercenaries for 6 years and Trump has the opportunity to stop the war machine, that is if he is genuinely anti-establishment.

I would like to echo your sentiment about those who love Hillary, at least her war shall come to fruition, remember when she called for the air strikes about an hour before Trump launched them.

The whole situation makes me sick when I think about the poor Syrian families, who overwhelmingly support the Syrian Government.

American officials blamed Syrian President Bashar Assad for the release of chemical weapons, but Syrian officials said the poison gas actually was disseminated after military planes dropped conventional bombs on the arms depot of an al-Qaida offshoot.

www.usnews.com...

This doesn't seem to have been resolved. Offshoot of al-Qaida, whose team are they on...

the USA is slowly but definitely turning into a dictatorship Governments, regime change, wars. Reminds me so much of 1930,s Europe sadly, chomping at the bit for a major war, and the people are right behind them believing all the B$ sadly.

Lets get even more conspiratorial for a moment.

Now let me just say ahead of time, I have no proof of any of this. Just thoughts I am putting out there.

What if Trump and the IC came to an agreement? They turn of the heat on the leaks and investigations and such, and he takes care of Assad (who is a really bad guy anyways).

Notice the good news for Trump so far this week. Some dems are starting to question why Obama didn't do more against Russia. Many dems are saying the leadership needs to stop discussing russian collusion.

CNN is cracking down on fake russia stories.

Perhaps Trump made a Faustian bargain.

Take down a bad leader in Assad (sure he will have to blame fake chemical attacks) and get his agenda on the move.

It will be interesting to see if there is a sudden turn in perception of how the IC is treating Trump if this escalates.

The funny thing is this is what all of the Trump haters wanted; give in to the deep state and have a war with Russia.

I hope they are happy with themselves if this is what happens.

I think Trump was threatened or manipulated by the people who had convinced McCain, Kerry, Obama and Hillary to foam at the mouth regarding attacking Syria.

None of it makes any sense, there's probably few people on Earth that know the whole picture and the full intentions behind what is going on. I get the feeling that Trump doesnt actually have much say in it. Foreign policy is ran by some other hidden power, IMO. It's the only way I can attempt to make sense of this.

It's all about the banks. Trump needs the bankers, so he does what they want. Just like Libya. The true care is not about the rights of the people, or the country that will remain after, as long as the banks fall into you know whose hands.

And the folks who pour money into those banks.

The USA (and Europe) need to ensure Russia's pipeline never gets through Syria. That's the long and short of it.

I'm a fan of trump if only for the desaturation of this toxic liberal meme that's been pushed way too long... but naturally, he's now just a tool to the warpigs, as ANY president would be, sadly. Killary would've probably launched the nukes already.

This is a very plausible theory!

I have another one and it involves Epstein's black book and Trumps name being in it.

If Trump goes after Assad, I will know that he was simply TPTB's plan B.

Regarding Trump, it 'could' be he has no way of verifying the data one way or the other if it was a false flag or not. Either way, the data is potentially filtered. Assuming he's a bright guy, then what's his alternatives? Stick everything in neutral on a possibility? Or act decisively showing no hesitation in showing where the line is crossed...by anyone.

He doesn't have to be blackmailed or make a 'deal' with deep state or the IC to come to his decision, merely advised so by those he appointed and is obliged to trust. Not unlike Bush after 9/11.

There is no way in hell I'm buying Assad is some sort of good guy. His ties with Iran are long and distinguished, not to mention Russia....

I completely missed this thread and ended up making my own, but it seems we are on a very similar page with our assessments.

Yep. This is how governments work things out.

Screw the collateral damage. As long as it's not your kids or mine ... c'est la vie.

Now that we know what the prep signs are, do we preemptively destroy the site where the chemical weapons are being fueled up? Sure! Why not? Save innocent civilians from physical and mental agony.

I guess the end game is inevitable, we just get to fight and argue on how we get there, while we get there.

Can't dodge destiny.

Of course we know where the preparations are, its the CIA preparing for it with their local assets! The Syrian coalition, again is making very strong and sweeping gains towards Der Ez zoir (sic) to lift the siege their forces have been under for years. They are making gains in Damascus and Daraa. Basically other than Israeli and CJTFOIR strikes on their armed forces which conveniently assist terrorist forces, the Syrians and friends are on track to regain mostly everything West of the Euphrates. Everything East of the river up to Iraq border has already been claimed by NATO in the name of Rojava.

So it makes all the sense in the world for them to launch and unnecessary, unwanted, and unwise chemical attack against forces they are not having issues with clearing without CW.

I suspect it will happen in the Der E Zoir (six) area. It sure would be a hard pill to swallow for the military intelligence guys who have tried multitude of times to alert the administration that the Assad CW attack narrative is false and a hoax. I doubt they would take it lying down if friendly forces were hurt near Tanf on a false flag to try and garner support for toppling Assad.

Well, I guess the victims of chemical attacks are just making it all up, and the overflying Syrian aircraft is the display team entertaining the masses. It's all the CIAs doing.

The fact is that Assad and his ilk have nothing to lose from using chemical weapons, nor does ISIS and any one of the other groups involved. However, it is more plausible that Assad had the capability.

I would not blame Trump.

He is a simple brained retard that has ended up in a job well outside his capable skills.

He is so simple brained its easy for the deep state to sway his feeble mind and manipulate it.
