Simply speaking, yes and no. Because that which attracts...can also repel. You have to balance the two laws-attraction and repelling.

One doesnt exist without the other. For every action there is an opposite RE-action....otherwise all wishes no matter how good or bad or mean or well intended...would always come true.

And they don't. Jim Morrison/The Doors said it best "You cannot PETITION the Lord with PRAYER". So, just because you want it and wish it...sometimes the correct answer is you dont get it because you dont deserve it.

This is a very good question. I always called it luck but after reading your post I think you nailed it.

I am older at 67 and have been doing much reflection on life. I have to be the luckiest person in the world, or there is something more. I have had so much luck at staying alive, getting good jobs with just a high school education, retiring with a good pension, paid off our house, that it gives me goose bumps. But I have to wonder why me? My mother did not like children but in the 40's she didn't have many ways to avoid it, but chose to keep me. That is pretty much the pattern my whole life has been like. Something seems to guide me from danger. That same something pushed a poor girl from Mississippi to leave there and find something better. I definitely believe in the laws of attraction when it comes to selecting a mate, had mine for 38 years now. Just a few seconds after the first time we looked at each other, the attraction was all consuming and have never separated since. Thanks for the thread.

To be honest, I always thought Jesus was the first to really teach about the law of attraction. The writers in the bible called it miracles...but he stated often that we all could do what he did and more. Obviously, when he was told that Lazerus was dead...He simply said he was only sleeping. He truly had faith and belief that was true. Lazerus simply woke up at Jesus request.

There are many examples of LOA with Jesus in the bible. Walking on water, healings, feeding a multitude, making wine from water...etc. I recall a particular story where a lady just knew if she touched his robe, she would be healed. He stated that she healed herself!

I am not saying one has to be a Christian (I am not) ...to create miracles...one just has to acknowledge the truth of power already within them. Just thought I would add this since you wanted to learn of Miracles.

Edit add: sure these could be simply stories...but the advice given over and over, actually is the same advice needed to make LOA work for you. One just needs to find their own truth to believe in the fact that they truly have this power.

I feel like I come close to doing this but there's part of me that can't let go, as in can't fully believe mostly due to feeling it's not going to work.

Honestly, hypnotism works best by speaking to the subconscious via positive imagery. Someone wants to quit an addiction...you don't emphasize the negative or even the object of addiction. You create an image of what their personal desires are. Often it is simply living well and happily enjoying life. That varies for individuals, that is why hypnosis tapes don't work for everyone. I believe LOA works on the same principle. You subconsciously begin to make better choices based on your belief that lead you to acquire that lifestyle.

I don't believe in LOA due to one fact...what you want is constantly changing.

For example you want a Ferrari 488... so you work hard constantly visualising this Ferrari. All this takes time. 10 years later you have a spare $400,000 but this 488 is 10 years old, no one wants it. Or buying a supercar seems pointless when you could put it into investment.

OR you want to date girl x and so you visualise and you act like you are dating her already blah blah but along the way you see some character traits you dislike... you no longer want to date her.

This is why I think the Law of Attraction is kinda BS.

I think it is a precursor to getting non spiritual people to align with higher vibratory planes. It motivates people but the end goal, that they don't see, is enlightenment. Because if you gain enlightenment you realise that gaining things does not cause happiness, so you require nothingness for happiness.

What's better a guy who wants a Ferrari and uses LOA to get his Ferrari but then will want something else and be stuck in a constant cycle of want - get - want - get.... or a guy who attains enlightnment and is 100% happy with just being?

Dear god I think you are quite valid and accurate. But perhaps there is a way to control one's desires.

If there is something you really, really want down to your core, your subconscious will lead you to it. It may take some time and changes but it will happen. Be careful and specific or like a previous poster mentioned, you may get what you want but it may not be in a way you ever expected, good or bad.

No there is no laws of attraction for life. Everything you get is a result of you or others making it happen on purpose

I'm telling you guys...

"Dimensional jumping" is a lot easier.

The rules here prevent me from cross-posting from other social forums, but Google it.

There's a pretty robust community of people trading experiences and testing it. It seems to have a better track record than LOA. It's even worked for me with better than 50% of my attempts.

If you still insist on doing the LOA route, I recommend paying attention to the words you use. As in, the words you say and think inside your head on a daily basis.

Negative words lead to negative emotions. Negative emotions stop the manifestation process dead in its tracks. You need to be in a positive state of "receivership", having faith that what you've manifested will and has already come to pass, you're just kicking around for it to show up. The more you focus/think about it, the less likely it'll happen.

There's a reason a lot of people who practice sigil magic like to try and "forget" about the sigil after they make/charge/cast them. You have to let the "universe" do it's thing.

But seriously, "Dimensional Jumping" isn't some kid of short-cut, it's a more approachable way to make things you want to happen, happen. It's a bit more "hands on" with repeatable and testable methods. There isn't a bunch of "wishy-washy" stuff, and no one is pushing a book, movie, CD or website subscription.

You don't remember the thousands of thing that don't happen but you will remember the one thing that does.

So whilst some wishes can and do come true, a lot more don't.

Also, you have to actually DO something to manifest things.

If you sit on your couch and try to manifest learning to fly a small plane, never leaving the couch ... you're going to have a bad time.

So, even if you have no idea how you will eventually learn to fly a small plane, get off the couch and go poking around. Turn over rocks, poke a metaphorical stick around and generally "move" in the general direction of the desire you wish to manifest.

The universe needs *something* to build/work off of. As you move forward, seemingly blindly, the universe will unfold in front of you in the direction of what you're intention is (assuming you have your ducks in a row).

That's another piece that often gets left out of the puzzle.

I have gone through moments when I m very aware of the way this works, and get very consciously creative.

Then I go through periods where I get caught up in the details of life, I forget my power and the possibilities available.

I swear that the law of attraction works. When I decide everything is going my way and the world is constantly opening up to me, it just does. I have what I used to call "good luck" all day long.

I have done experiments to see how far this can go- deciding to manifest something that really did seem, by all appearances and facts, not possible. It works. It isn't magic- I think we engage our subconscious to pick up subtle details we usually miss, or to offer us intuitions we normally ignore, and end up seeing more opportunities (and having the confidence to walk into them).

Maybe there's a more esoteric component too, as many claim, but in the end, I don't care why it works, the important thing is that it does.

From time to time, I need a reminder that I have this power. Then I get the wheels turning again. I did this recently.

I'll probably get caught up in things again at some point and lose sight, and end up in situations I am not happy with and feel powerless in. I try to put up post its for my future self.

Seriously, I was really really down recently, feeling horribly trapped in a bad situation, and I changed purses for one in my closet I hadn't used in a while. In it was an old note, reminding me of something I had decided to manifest and was focusing on at that time. I found it and laughed realizing I had been successful with that. I was driving the exact car I had been concentrating on at that time, that was totally out of my financial means and a joke to even dream about - at the time.

That reminded me and I got busy creating again. Once again, it worked.

Okay guys I have a lot of things I want. So what I did was make an entire list to help sort the ideas out for me. I basically want to wake up one day in a world with these ideas and changes set. But honestly it's so long, what I have wrote out. So how should I go this way and being using something to start my desires to pull in?

It'S obviously real.

If you focus on a specific goal and work hard to achieve that goal is that not the law of attraction?

I agree but I am not convinced since I want someone to share a compelling story. I appreciate all your responses everyone and they have helped but I need something more to finally pull me over. Like the thing I am after seems impossible to even work for since it seems out of this world. How do I make myself wake up to a world with my desires set in place? I want so many different things changed (cannot explain, it's personal) but it is far-fetched to want something so dramatic.

Remove the desires and let it be. You are not in control.

Peace.
