As you all know we are in one of the biggest stock maret bubbles ever, probably the biggest considering the total value of all financial derivatives tied to the market. Trump was warning about it on numerous occasions last year before becoming POTUS.

Trump said that because of record low interest rates from the Fed, the country's economy is "in a big, fat, ugly bubble," with debt increasing while the "only thing that looks good is the stock market." Thus when interest rates increase, the bubble would burst and the stock market would crash.

"I did, but I got out," Trump replied. He warned of "very scary scenarios" ahead for investors.
This isn't the first time Trump has advised Americans to steer clear of stocks. In October of last year, he told The Hill that the stock market is in a bubble. The stock market has gone up more than 6% since he made those comments.
"The only reason the stock market is where it is, is because you get free money," Trump said.
Trump slammed America's central bank -- the Federal Reserve -- for keeping interest rates at extremely low levels. People can borrow money at cheap rates. Meanwhile, they earn almost nothing if they save money in the bank. This encourages people to take risks.

At the time I was really enthusiastic about him precisely because of those kind of things. I liked that he had the guts to speak truth about things that no other politican dared to speak openly about, like the truth about economy and stock market bubble that we are in.

But now, when market is in much bigger buble (around that time that he was warning about the bubble, s&p500 was 2100 and now it's 2438!), he is bragging about "great economic news" citing the stock market value of the Dow and Nasdaq! Can you belive that? So what does that tell you about character of that person?

The #FakeNews MSM doesn't report the great economic news since Election Day. #DOW up 16%. #NASDAQ up 19.5%. Drilling & energy sector...

Now to tell you the truth, I don't think he is naive or stupid or anything like that. He is very well aware what will market crash of this magnitude cause. This bubble has been pumped for 8 years relentlessly... It's going to be worse than 2008. I think he's playing the roll of the fall guy for which he is going to be very well compensated. His buddies are already making billions on Wall Street, like Carl Icahn, short squeezing short sellers. I'm sure they are cordinating their moves with their buddy inside White House. Just go ahead and watch "Betting on Zero" documentary. That documentary opened my eyes.

But he's the Savior of America. Believe me!

It's an inevitability. It's going to happen no matter who's placed in office. A single president can't overcome decades of gravedigging.

I am not talking about that, I am just saying that he was warning people about something and now he is cheering up and celebrating that same thing that he was warning about! As he would say: "Crazy! "

Maybe he just knows that most people think that inflated Wall Street means "good economy." They neither know, nor believe anyone who tries to tell them, that the numbers are artificially inflated.

He's like anyone else who has held office in the past 50 years, he uses folks' lack of knowledge to bolster himself.

Here comes the correction!

He can't fix it, and warning about it now won't do anything but trigger it sooner. Since he'll be blamed for the last ten years of policy when it happens, he's doing the only thing he can do... Let it be.

I guess the question becomes... What is everyone else doing to prepare?

Trump and about 65 other economists have been saying the same thing for the past 8 years. There is literally no point for your OP other than to create disinfo. Perhaps it is misinfo because you don't understand the markets?

Actually he's using the stock market as a tool for showing off his "support" among "investors" and people in general. I'll give you couple of examples: after the day that was announced that he asked former FBI director Comey to drop off investigating general Flynn when S&P500 dropped 1.5% in a day, we had 12 consecutive green days of all major indexes, which is unheard off, especially in those circumstances. Or when he announced withdrawing from Paris Climate Agreement, when almost all analysts were predicting bad reaction of the markets, markets actually went up almost 1% in a day. Or any bad news that could hurt him, markets would react totally in weird manner, going up instead of down. Which clearly shows major market manipulation. There are numerous other examples but I cannot remember it now. Actually just remembered another example: on his first major trip as a president to Middle East and Europe, markets were green every single day while he was there. Although there were lot of negative economic news in the same time. Coincidence? Maybe, but I really don't think so. Every time that he needs support, markets are going green... Market is loving him? I really don't buy that. Markets are beeing manipulated in a way to show investors confidence in his administration. How long will it last? Not for long, I assure you...

I can't find the quote but Trump said in 2006 that it was "a great time to buy a home", that's a year before the housing market crashed.

Did he not know about the bubble or did he just not care?

Answer:

I sort of hope that happens because then people like me would go in and buy

He didn't care, he just wanted to make a quick buck.
