Just like this guy in the OP who had to make a statement - a dangerous one which could have injured or killed someone - for no reason at all.

You know in my country if you decide to stand or lie in the middle of the road you get arrested. Seems a better system.

Yes, I've owned multiple dogs several times.

Maybe you're just not training them right. Also, wild wolves definitely do not have alphas. The pack leaders are the elders - wolves do not fight for 'dominance' as was once believed based on studies that put a whole bunch of random wolves together.

Averaging 75 pounds, the Canadian Eskimo Dog falls between the Malamute and Husky in size. That means they've got the beef and build for back country travel but can still be comfortably handled by most beginners. Most of them are extremely personable. Like their cousins the arctic wolves, they have extremely strong pack instincts. The pack hierarchy is always changing. Therefore some of them will not run together without sparring over dominance.

Way to derail a thread.

Getting back to the protesting issue, the guy on the bike hurt no one and drove thru the crowd at a low speed, he shouldn't have even been detained. It's a mockery of the system. Those protestors were lucky it was some big hairy guys on Harleys looking to drive down that road.

Serious question - what message are these intelligent people trying to send by laying on the ground? The hell is a die-in?

I can only assume that their goal is to revile their movement further in the minds of the general public by making total jackasses of themselves.

These "protests" have less and less attendees each passing week.

A die-in is when you mix the concepts of protest and being an inconsiderate arsehole into one, but are too lazy to throw rocks at ambulances so you just lie in the road.

It's not lawful, it's civil disobedience. Regardless vigilantism is against the law, if people lay down in the street no one has legal authority to convict them and punish them on the spot. Call the cops.

Maybe they were protesting the lack of speed bumps.
