Dissolve the state of Illinois

Basically a proposal to dissolve the Broken state, because it is just like Venezuela now and has proven that it does not deserve to survive. So just carve it up and the surrounding states annex what they want.

I chuckled...

on a serious note... I do not see any option that can work until the political elite in that state are gone... so short of taking them out and shooting them (obviously not an option), divide it up and give it to other states makes more sense to me than the Fed throwing good money after bad.

Yeaaaa I don't see this happening. Regardless, why would the other states want to pick up a problem someone else created.

Another option . . . reduce them back to a territory until they get their act together.

Or just disband state government, and let the towns become villages again.
Sure, the place would burn to the ground... But then a lot of people who want to be left alone could finally have a place to call home.

No more cops, taxes, or nosey neighbors... Just me, my rifle, and a couple hundred acres of freedom

Yeah, I don't understand why Missouri would want to pick up part of Chicago at all. Any state who does is asking to have their own electoral process screwed up like the one in Illinois to the point where they're shortly no better off than that state is now.

I think we should make them their own little territory again and let them eat each other. I hear there are plenty of river carp out there.

My family is from downstate Illinois. These days they refer to it as "the state of Chicago."

There is no doubt about it, Chicago rules the state. They are the only state in recent times that had two former governors in prison at the same time. Much of the damage has been done not by reckless spending as supposedly done in PR, but by crooked politicians in cahoots with the mob.

My suggestion is to cut Chicago out of the state and and let Illinois be shed of it, a farming state more like Iowa, Kansas, etc.

Imagine the 2020 election , this issue alone could almost win it for which ever party spins it to their advantage.

Actually not all of Chicago is a warzone.

I've visited twice in the last year, last year I was in the downtown area right by the Married with Children fountain and it was real nice. Last month I was up closer to O'Hare airport and there were really nice neighborhoods especially around the Northern Illinois campus.

I think it's like most cities with good parts and crappy parts. The crappy parts are just extra crappy.

If so, I refuse to be claim either one of those anymore.


In fact I have been working on a template for a new Party that I think would be better then both.

It's not about good parts and bad parts. Every city has those. It's about being a solid blue cess pool with enough blue voters to control its entire state and ruin it financially.

NO state is going to want that - good parts or bad parts.
