The strategy is clear : draw it out as long as possible to creat negative press for the administration. They've milked it too much, though, and like most things the Democrats do these days, it is back firing on them.

I dare say that the equally important motive is to stall the REAL investigation that is required - DNC hacking of election systems and the Obama administrations illegal spying on US citizens. I suspect when they lost the election, they were sh**ing themselves and this was the plan that was hatched when Podesta and Mook sat down with their degenerate comrades in the days after the loss to plan the escape route.

This article must be a lie then.

Continuing their tactical offensive against Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, Senate Democrats have delayed the initial committee vote on his confirmation by a week, effectively cutting the amount of time Republicans wanted to debate and vote on his nomination.

www.usnews.com...

How could the dems have DELAYED the Gorsuch confirmation? The republicans control everything, right?

So that story that was national news on every outlet was a lie, roght?

Why is the gop letting the dems stall?

This is a good question,
seems it's time to demand accountability.

Proceed or end the probe from
lack of evidence!

wrong......democrats can ASK for more time....republicans DO NOT have to listen to them, why????....because republicans control who gets called to testify.....the democrats can't demand anything.....this is a false narrative somehow giving power to democrats, that they do not have.........

Haven't you noticed the loss of steam in these ardent leftist supporters lately. It seems hard for them to even come up with outlandish claims to defend their positions on political issues.

It doesn't matter who has the Senate or House majority when it comes to committees...All that matters is the members of those committees. Last I saw it was pretty even D/R split for the committee in question.

I seriously wonder how so many people passed highschool civics...

The Reps. want to have some important closed session testimony from clapper and comey before moving forward (makes sense considering they couldn't answer much in open testimony and a lot of questioning would depend on the answers those 2 would give) and hearing from others.

Well two reasons I can thik of.

1. Some of them, like McCain is an anti Trumper that has a vested interests in dragging this out. This allows his psychotic wish of WW3 with Russia to have more propaganda.

2. If the Republicans had the hearing without democrats there, the dems would just point to this as another example of republicans colluding to undermine the Russia story, and inevitably the testimony would have to happen again anyways, whenever the democrats deemed it time.

Look at it this way. The democrats would say "See! The republicans rushed this guy in before we were ready because they know he is guilty and they are covering for him. This whole investigation is a sham! We demand it be started over without the republicans in charge!"

If its that simple, how did the democrats delay the Gorsuch nomination?

Read the article again.
Democrats are blocking testimony!

It's clear who is working with Russia, Clinton and
her minions. This is all by design.

your own article says the democrats REQUESTED this from committee chairman Grassley(r), they could NOT force Grassley to do this...he could have refused flat out...just like the senate republicans changed their minds on Obama's SCOTUS pick in jan 2016. long held rules and traditions didn't stop republicans last year.....in essence, Grassley gave them THAT crumb, because he already knew the outcome was guaranteed

Please let this backfire on Schiff and all the other obstructionists. Why is nobody on the streets right now and demanding the other side to testify? Go figure. I hope this bullsh!t gonna end soon. What a waste of time and tax payer money.

I think it is coming to light, if enough voters
learn the truth they will be even further
disenfranchised....

I think it is time for a Special Counsel on Lynch,
maybe a little more pressure and they will pop.

Lol...maybe because Grassley and the majority are not obtructionists and are trying to work with Dems? What a concept! Then again, isn't it fascinating that after a year, the Dems aren't ready and have to ask for more time to prepare for witness testimony. I suspect it's more time to try and hide the Susan Rice unmasking documents they thought they were going to hide in Obama's library...need time to come up with plan not subject to court ordered release.Anyway, rant on if it makes you feel better...

I can't find it either. My guess would be that they have rules that say no, but they can be overruled in extreme cases, such as when the republicans forced the confirmation votes of some of Trumps candidate.

They would probably be extremely reticent to use an option like that, because it would effectively allow the party in charge to silence all opposition.

But I guess that is what the anti trumpers on this thread would want. Isn't it funny how they scream about Trump being a dictator while they cheer for authoritarian measures.

this is your opinion.....if you know what goes on in closed hearings, please let us in on it....if you know what Mueller has said to the various committees, fill us in...otherwise it's ATS's right-wingers trying to steer the blame to democrats...not happening pal, you people cant even take responsibility for your own parties actions. the few people on ATS from the left, that haven't already gone away, knows how this works
