All the old creepy sex scandals, murders, bribes, trips to Pedo Island, fake snipers, grand mal seizures, grifting, drunken tantrums, destruction of evidence (emails, smashed devices, Bleachbit), coughing fits, blaming Russians, habitual lying, stealing money from poor Haitians, and doing god-knows-what with Huma Weiner will be temporarily forgotten if not forgiven.

She will milk the "grieving" First Lady act for all it's worth. Many people will wax nostalgic over the Clinton years. For the first time in her life, she will be showered with good will (without money being involved).

Her "grief" will go on and on and on... She knows that as long as she plays the role of a sorrowful widow, the odds of being frog-marched in cuffs to face justice for her crimes are low.

Hell, it might go on for years. She might even grease that idiot Chelsea if it's necessary!

Never count her out as long as there's killing to be done!

It should be noted that neither this investigation by the State Department nor the DOJ Inspector General investigation can directly result in charges. However, the results of both could be used by the DOJ to determine if charges are warranted. Here's hoping they file. Just the information that's public is enough to send her to prison, nevermind all the evidence they have behind the scenes.

Yes, true that the Senate investigation can not
prosecute, only recommend, that would be for
corruption. It is possible that The State Dept
would refer for prosecution. Breach of Duty
is also an option, if I read correctly.

I think the FBI did a horrible disservice
in the botched investigation.

Maybe they will get a few prying eyes as well
when the new director steps in?

violated protocols, with the potential outcome they could lose
their Security clearances amoung other consequences.

Generally, Top Secret clearances are good for 5 years and Secrets are good for 10 years. When you leave your position, your clearance is still valid until it expires, although it often enters an inactive state unless you're gonna continue to do work for the government that requires you to have it. When they're coming up on expiration, if you still require the clearance to do your job, they basically redo your background check again to make sure you're still eligible to have it. I can tell you with the # she did there's no way she should pass the renewal when it comes up, and in that case it really should be revoked now.

Just to be clear though, the fact that you have a clearance does not entitle you to any information. Having the clearance is just the first step, it's not like in TV shows where you can ask to see any information classified Secret or below just because you hold a Secret clearance. You have to have some need-to-know, as in you have to have a legitimate reason to access the information that has to do with your work for the government. So just because she still holds a Top Secret clearance doesn't mean she still has access to much TS info. She really has no reason to.

The explanation for the Abedin/Weiner laptop will be fun.



The "immunity" deals may require examination.



The "no intent" excuse might not work twice.



The Clinton Foundation donors may be explored.



There is much of recent history that we have been "protected from" by a conspiracy of silence and collusion.
