My wife is a doctor and tells me 30% of girls in the US are molested or raped before exiting high school. Combine those stats, and even with overlap these are daunting statistics for females. Also makes the 90,000 number seem extremely low. Probably actually incidents are in the hundreds of thousands.

Even outside of prison I think many men do get raped. I think young boys going through puberty are often the targets of older boys who think this type of assault is funny.. and they aren't necessarily gay. Boys just don't talk about it as much and feel weak because they were powerless to stop it. 😕

I wish more would.. and get the counselling they may need. Men aren't allowed to be victims in rape without some guys thinking they're pansies who can't fight back.

This really disgusts me. As a nerdy girl, I was bullied almost all the way through school. I can't imagine being raped for fun by my peers as a rite of passage.

That is just plain sick.

I've talked to men who have gone through the experience and were only willing to talk about it as adults, and they implied it was more common than one might think.

What sources do you need? Like I said in earlier post this is something boys don't discuss easily.

Since when are all prisoners pieces of crap? Many reasons why people go to jail , and two wrongs never make a right.

Aside from folks sitting in prison for committing victimless crimes, most of the prison population is there because they exerted their will over others in violation of the law. Many are there because they flat out violated the rights of others, to varying degrees. IMO prison should be as miserable an existence as is humanly possible to insulate against recividism. Seems like this type of violation would make most folks think twice about finding themselves in jail again, ya?
