I'm BAAAACK!

Well it's been a long time since i posted in this forum. I have many new recipes to share, just have to figure out how to keep them from uploading sideways!

My son, Liam, is now 4 years old. Just had a birthday a couple weeks ago and he is quite the little chef! He has been in the kitchen since birth with me in one way or another. He showed interest at a young age in the kitchen, probably because I live there. He started cutting foods at around 2 and a half, with guidance and the right kids knives of course. He didn't like me helping him and would get upset if I did. He would say "I got it, I got it."

He has his own little kitchen on our porch that is fully stocked so when I cook he has to go get his 'supplies' from his kitchen to help. I mean sometimes i just want to cook and get it over with but he won't let me. He has to help. He loves to make quiche and will tell me what to put in it even! Scrambled eggs I can hand him the carton of eggs, heavy whipping cream and let him pick what goes in as far as cheese or herbs and walk away only to come back to a scrambled bowl of eggs and all I have to do is put them on the stove and cook them. He picks the cheeses and will grate it himself, one of his favorite things to do. He also loves to make chicken parmesan. He will coat the chicken and everything in the egg and panko mixture! He gets all serious with it and tells me again "I got it."

Here is little Liam making meatballs. He had such a blast. He even got his serious face on! They came out soooo good he ate 8 of them, no joke. I thought he was gonna have a tummy ache! The funny thing is he hums when he really likes something and he was humming the entire time he ate! He really liked his meal! I call it the "hum of approval."

I had to make these into a collage because it would not load the images the right way no matter what I did!

The focus in his eyes tells me he means serious business. Very consistent with the balls too. At 4, this is very impressive, I think he's already found his calling.

Such intensity there! Great seeing a 4 year old crafting such fine looking work.

Thanks for sharing, and enjoy your special day with him. I'll be watching for some good recipes, but my 4 year old shall remain an innocent bystander for now. He does help with pastries and cookies lol.

Happy Fathers day to you and all the dads reading!

Oh is so serious with cooking, it's adorable. He wants to do everything himself, without help. When he started learning how to cut up herbs it was a bit of a fight lol. He wanted to do it himself so badly but i had to explain to him I needed to show him so he didn't cut himself. He caught on quickly!

My mom cooks all the time from scratch as do I so he is around it A LOT and always wants to help.

I love making people hungry hehe. It's sort of my thing! I torment friends on my Facebook with food pics. I use to do the same on here with recipes but I was gone for a while, life happened!

HAHA yea the collage took me like a minute to make. I think from now on I'll just do that instead of trying to upload the photos separately.

I don't have a lot of money so most of what my son and I do is around the house. He loves to help cook, the garden and crafts. It's amazing what you can get from the dollar store for such things! He even likes to clean! I swear he will actually pitch a fit if I don't let him vacuum. So I hand him the vacuum and let him go to town. It's so funny and people never believe me. I am a bit OCD when it comes to cleaning and he has clearly watched me when it comes to cleaning. I remember when he was around 2 or 2 and a half and he spilled some food. He went into the kitchen, grabbed a towel and cleaned up the mess. I just stood there! He's a good boy and we have fun with our little adventures and cooking moments.

Oh I'm a female btw, but thanks. This is also from months ago I just never got to share it on here. I use to post quite often on here but then I had my son and just didn't have the time. I have many cooking posts involving me son to post!

Yea my son likes to make cookies and pastries but that is my mom's department. Im not into baking at all. I will make homemade bread and that's it. The only cookie I like to make is peanut butter but I tend to eat the whole batch in one day!

Thank you

HAHAHA!

Oh he loves to cook. He cooks with me and my mom and if you don't let him help he will let you know that he is upset! The first time I made chicken parmesan with him I was trying to just make it and be done but NOOOO he made a convincing argument that he was able to do it. So i set it all up and told him what to do and he did perfect! I was shocked.

Haha it happens all the time on here. If people knew what my name stood for they would know I am a chick.

Mblahnikluver= Manolo Blahnik lover, a famous shoe designer. 😂 Also I picked pink font because well I'm girly. I should put my location as "in my female vessel" 😂😂
