Watch out for little eruptions As with magma mapping, the science of forecasting volcanic eruptions is always improving. Most scientists think that magma buildup would be detectable for weeks, maybe years, preceding a major Yellowstone eruption. Warning signs would include distinctive earthquake swarms, gas emissions and rapid ground deformation.

Let's hope not , are there reports of gas emissions or ground deformation ?
Remember when Mount St. Helens went , no one saw that coming.

OMG!!! I feel you just aren't taking this particular end of the world seriously! It's all fun and games until someone loses all their neighbours and Schuyler goes out like 2012.

We have fire wood and jackets
once the plants that the animals eat stop growing the animals we eat will stop living so it makes little difference.
if that bitch goes we are done
We have barrels of water, and about 25 buckets of assorted rice, beans, and grains. lots of canned meats too. We will share with our immediate neighbors , so we don't have to smell their rotting carcasses. I mean who wants a bunch of over ripe cadavers for neighbors, right?

Again, not suggesting anything but... but, if Yellowstone erupts, and it will someday, it will lay waste to all withing hundreds of miles.
Great. I'm headed there tomorrow for a week's driving tour. It would be a great way to go.
