Prayers, Well Wishes for Steve Scalise and Matt Mika

I thought it might be nice to take a minute from the partisan vitriol and remember that there are two people fighting for their lives in the aftermath of the horrific attack on the Republican baseball team. Both men have suffered severe damage to organs and will need multiple surgeries to survive.

I hope both men make a full and quick recovery.

I'm not sure who any of them are, or what they have and haven't done- but I will say this..... They are human and I hope they recover.

That's where I draw the line on sympathy for politicians.

Hope they both recover, i'm really curious to hear what the motivation behind this was. He did once speak at a white supremacist convention, claiming he didn't realize what the convention was about. I'm amazed that in 2002 he didn't bother to google search the group before speaking, but seeing as 2002 was still pretty early in the days of the internet isn't not too far fetched.

Regards to the victims. Best wishes for speedy recoveries. Props to the quick acting officers as well.

To be honest, my sympathy is waining.

Vote to adopt an amendment that makes exceptions to the abortion ban when it is necessary to to prevent substantial risk of death or serious impairment to life-sustaining organs, or in cases of incest or rape.

Guy sounds like a danger to pregnant women in my opinion.

I think you are missing the point of this OP.

The goal is to come together and agree that violence against this man and the others shot in this senseless act is wrong and that we wish for the health and recovery of the victims.

Political disagreement doesn't mean that we wish ill or harm on our opponents.

Yeah we could all be nice and kind to one another, but honestly, when you're a danger to women who have been raped & impregnated I don't see much of a reason to care if one has been shot...

It's not merely political disagreement when you endanger the public you're supposed to represent.

The others shot I hope make a full recovery, so we can agree on that much at least.

No one deserves to be gunned down for their beliefs. His position on abortion or whatever else should be lost by virtue of vote or argument not loss of life.
