I'll give you that, there is just casual coincidences.

I'll take the red pill....

I believe there is something that behaves in the same way.... "much more than just a coincidence." It has been explored way before I was born, I believe Carl Jung called synchronicity.

I'm not into new age, wicca or all that jedi stuff... though I do find it fascinating, in the past I would watch hundreds of videos on the subject, looking for answers and found that women are more sincere about it. Maybe it's a mother's intuition to take notice.

I think it's normal, to me I've concluded it's the universe talking... to a mathematician it's statistical randomness. I also believe skeptics and mathematicians can not experience synchronicity, they have developed their minds to block it out.

I have a weird coincidence. Back in 94 I had a dentist appt. When I arrived there was a car parked in the lot that was so beautiful I actually said to myself, "If I could have any car in the world, no matter how expensive, I would choose that car".

I didn't even check to see what kind of car it was, I just had my appt. and forgot about it.

2 yrs later. I'm looking to buy a car. This guy I was dating tells me he found a car for me about 50 miles away at some small used car dealer. It was a 94 z-28 convertible. Black on black, V8 with a corvette engine. It was a beautiful car.

Anyway, I bought the car and when i received the title, low and behold it was the vehicle that had belonged to my dentist and the very same car I had literally said I would choose if I could have any car in the world!

Never in my life before or since, have I said something like that about a car. I'm not particularly impressed by expensive cars or anything like that.

I've never known what to make of that. Some sort of pre-cognition when I first saw the car? Or just mere coincidence?

I like that your coincidence doesn't involve Hurricanes, massive destruction and people dieing...nice car

With that said I just had another weird coincidence. I needed to cut some high grass, but the only tool on hand was a museum display scythe in desperate need of sharpening. So what should I find at my local consignment shop...a scythe sharpening stone, from a vendor I purchase from regularly, that wasn't there the week before...of course, just a coincidence

Two friends of mine, one I work with and one I go to church with, both pregnant with girls.

Neither one of these women know each other. Being elated for the two mothers, I bought both baby gifts. Love baby shopping.

So, one of them has a due date of June 20th, the other June 16th.

So the dad of the one from church posts late Saturday that she's gone into labor. Awesome!, I'm thinking.

Then.......we hear our co-worker has too. I'm thinking how weird but not unusual because they both had due dates within 4 days of each other.

So daddy posts baby is born at 7:30 Sunday morning. When I get to work yesterday one of my co-workers has a pic of the other lady's new baby and she says to me that she was born at 7:30............Sunday morning. What are the odds that I would know two women from two different cities that have their two daughters at exactly 7:30 Sunday morning?

I'm kinda weirded out.

I believe there is no such thing as a coincidence.

Its a cool word we can use, but something higher is giving us signs, its awesome you can notice them.

My last 3 residences have 55 in them...when i go to purchase my 2nd home...I will look for 55 in the numericial part of the address...sounds crazy, but I feel its a sign and im glad I caught onto it.

that is a strong example of the power of synchronicity. So cool

I used to see much more of this sort of thing happen in my life. Now I can't seem to do anything right. No matter how hard I try.

Here is another example. Tool is my favorite band (hence, my ATS name, toolgal462). Back in 2001 they released Lateralus and announced a small venue tour. I decided I was going to go to the NY show, even though I'm from Boston so I would have to travel, etc....Anyway, tix go on sale and sell out in like 60 seconds so I go to an expensive ticket broker and pay like $400 bucks each ticket. I got 2 although I really had no one to go with. My friends are more into Streisand than Tool.

So anyway, in the few months leading up to the show I kept telling everyone I was going to meet Tool. Did not know how I was going to meet them but I kept saying it anyway. One of my best friend's decided to go on a long weekend trip to NY with me, she went to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, I went to see TOOL at Hammerstein Ballroom.

I met up with an online friend who was a big Tool fan, he took the other ticket. We get to the venue and the line was going around the block to get in. It was early, so I am like, "ToolGal don't wait in no line. Where's the nearest bar, I'll go chill and get in later". Well, there was a Friday's across the street so I went there by myself and told the bartender to tell me when it's 8:30. I drank alone until the bartender reminded me it was time.

So, I get to the venue and there is no line. I go inside, head to the first bar I see (lol) and the barback says to me "I like you, you have cat eyes". So I respond, "oh yah, can you get me near the band?" He proceeds to bring me right up to the front of the stage, up on a little balcony where I was so close and had that balcony to myself. He checked on me every so often to ask if I was having a good time. I kept saying, "I want to meet the band. Can you get me back stage". He said he didn't think he could.

Anyway, so after the show ends I wander around as the place is emptying and it turns out there is an after party upstairs and I was let in. This was 2001, so before I had a cell phone with a camera, etc. I have no proof of meeting the band and the jerk I went with to that show never spoke with me again because he said I was pathetic and made up that story. The only proof I would have had was the pass that the security guard kept stickingn on my chest (and it kept falling off). It was a triangle with an eye in it (I had no idea what that symbol represented at the time). But apparently, that was the pass to get into the after party. But It fell off of me and I lost it .

But yah, I met TOOL and it was freakin' awesome. I still can't believe it.

I had one incident with the love of my life a year ago too but that went in the #ter and now I've lost my mojo completely it seems.

Lots of people travel and pay a lot to see a band. They don't ever get so easily into the after party though. I think I made it happen by saying it so much even though I had no idea how it would happen.

The Law of Attraction maybe?

I dont know, could be your are trying too hard.

Try living in the moment and being happy with what you have first, then concentrate on what you want further. sometimes it just takes a long time and sometimes you dont get it and thats a blessing in disguise.

I think I do that but it seems the universe has shifted on me. I'm always fighting the tide, climbing uphill...

I like the phrase "coincidence is Gods way of remaining anonymous". Makes me feel better about all the synchronicity nonsense that occurs at regular intervals in my life.

try to find out exactly what happened when it switched. If you cant, then try harder...to just be and live in the moment. I know it sounds cliche but everything falls into place when you do that.

It started for me when I read eckart Tolle books. Funny thing, i tried to read these books before and I was like...nope, these are lame.

Then, when I was ready i guess...i couldnt put the books down

I'm going to check out those books I think. I totally get what you are saying, btw. And I agree with you too. Thus far, I'm not getting into "sync" but I'll try and remain optimistic and productive.

I think distraction gets in the way too....I've found once I'm totally focussed on something it seems to all come together, but if I start say multiple projects (I do that often lol) things go to hell in a handcart

I'm not a bible basher but I'm sure that the man Jesus said something in the bible about we won't want for anything and I always remember knock and the door will open ask and you will receive seek and you will find. I think the guy knew that we have some sort of ability to make things happen, I mean we do every day in a way!
