I'd think that is to be expected since they are a progressive PAC who support only Dem's. What's strange about that?

I think it's not honest to say he is not a friend to Veterans and not point out that this group represents only people on the Left who do not support Trump.

More important would be has he taken any action that is anti-Veteran while in office? I think the opposite is actually true and more important than him blocking a group that's opposed to him entirely.

I'm not even a Trump fan, nor did I vote for him, but this has a strong partisan smell to it. I doubt it's representative of Veterans as a whole. All progressives hate Trump and never miss a chance to attack him any way they can.

What were they posting that got them blocked? That's what I'd personally like to see to have an informed opinion.

Anyone can read it

Blocking is different

Like I said I've never had nor used twitter so I wasn't aware haha.

If Hillary's coughs and farts can take up space on ATS, I don't see why this shouldn't.

You claimed it was non-partisan. That's not true and its hardly an insignificant detail. Once they cross that line into political advocacy against Trump and his policies, turnabout is fair play, including blocking them on a twitter feed.

It's perfectly true, the only problem is that you have no clue as to what an American 'progressive' is and I, as a non American am not going to explain it, you should know this stuff already if you are going to use the word. sheesh!

It just seems odd to me that progressives were the one's saying that Trump should not be on twitter. Now that he is blocking idiots they are upset that they can't read his tweets anymore. Can anyone say hypocrisy?
lol. So this is what 8 years of Obama has done to this nation. I guess cry babies will cry whether they get their way or not.

Sorry...I'm going to call this BS....

VoteVets.org... is the largest progressive group of veterans in America. We represent over 500,000 veterans, military families, and civilian supporters.

Is this really a vet group?

Ok 3 socialist vets + 15 family members + 499,982 nonmilitary crazy socialists = 500,000

VoteVet is not a veterans group - it is a PAC. It might not be super, but it is indeed a PAC (that is "closely aligned with Congressional Democrats").

I can't wait to see what kind of excuses/deflections will be used to swing this thread into a pro-Trump piece.

I was watching a Dave Chapelle Netflix thing last night and he mentioned "the Age of Spin."

Let's watch it play out.

Perhaps this veterans group is feeling guilty now after having killed so many Muslims themselves, and now they want to reach out and hug them now? But Trump knows that will just back fire like it always does, you know, like when Obama tried it.

Trump blocking his twitter account is important for you. He can do whatever he wants with it, it belongs to him.

Not anymore.

His tweets are part of public record.

So you're cool with Trump editing/censoring people from seeing issuances of public record?

Have you ever read 1984, because that's Orwellian as #.

aww. you really don't understand the whole "twitter" thing, do you.
He may have blocked some from responding, but everyone can see his tweets, they are public.

Is this grounds for impeachment?

Seems like you' ve started the 'spin' already ?

Trump blocked an organization because of abusive tweets from vets.. so be it.. his choice.

I know an anti Trump vet ( could be part of this organization) .. and he can be a real a$$ in his tweets to the president.
I'd block peeps like that too .

You're turn to spin..

I wonder if he's violating the First Amendment by blocking people.

en.wikipedia.org...

He's effectively punishing people by blocking them.

I have been banned from Twitter for months now for questioning deranged Leftist propaganda.
I can still see all those morons Tweets, I can even respond to some in other ways.....they might have a link to a blog or whatever in their Twitter profile etc.
So in a nutshell......too feking bad.

Nope, and if you'd have read through the thread you'd see the three or four other posters pointing that out.

I don't use Twitter. I prefer to read - not read headlines.

I think you should march to Washington. Wear your hat again.
I am sure you could get some celebrities to threaten to blow up the Whitehouse in protest.

Why?

All I want is for official government Twitter accounts to not block anyone. If it's a private account, I don't care. If it's an Official Government Source, I want it open for everyone to read.

I don't understand why you think I would feel blowing up things or marching is an effective strategy for Twitter. In this case, it's a legal matter so the effective strategy is legal pressure by the folks complaining.

In this case, it's military veterans and they're taking appropriate action.

Since it's an Official Government Account (per Trump), the answer seems to be "yes." I don't think he understands how to use different accounts on Twitter or how to separate one from the other. There's Twitter management software (I use Hootsuite myself) that would make it easy, but he's got to understand the differences and then use social media management software.

@realDonaldTrump is Trump's personal Twitter account opened long before he was in politics.

@POTUS is the official Twitter account proprietary to the office of the President of the United States.

The leftist political action group noted in the OP was blocked by Trump's personal account, not the @POTUS one.
