3 guys and their metal

We just released our first album and we are pretty happy about it.

The name is Stalker and the album title is Grey King Grave.

Genre definition is not something we really work with, but if we must, the description is something like old school death and thrash with a hint of black metal.

If you are only going to listen to one or two tracks #1 Cold Embrace of Death and #8 Dead Obsidian Eyes should give you an idea of the stupid insanity that is Stalker.

Feedback is welcome - restraining orders, calls for inclusion in no-fly lists and the like, not so much.

I´m heading to bed now as it´s 04:38AM here and we are rehearsing in 6 hours and 22 minutes, but I´ll check in when we are done.

Not into growling voice thing that trending now, but speed metal aspect is great! This is just my opinion, right now that style of singing is big I understand. Two thumbs up!!a reply to: FedtStensDyr

Not my cup of tea style wise but have to say you do fit this genre very well with the music and vocals sounding exactly the same as the pro bands doing this

Thanks, know that many are put off by the growl, but it kinda comes with the territory.
I wouldn't know what´s big right now, but he´s been doing it on/off for around 20 years.

Thanks, it took us quite some time getting to this point and the recording was a long process as well.
We are very pleased with the result - and a lot poorer...

If you haven't already, listen to the free versions on Bandcamp, the horrible YT compression takes away a lot of the experience if you ask me.

I have not personally listened to Old Lady Drivers(yet), but I´ll have a stern word with the guy responsible for that track tomorrow and get back to you about possible influence.

None of us knew O.L.D. before this question came up, but I like their first release - now that I had to do some research.

Am I right in guessing it´s the vocals you're comparing? Not sure the music is that similar, but the vocals are at times.
Don't know if that's a good thing though, since they obviously did theirs with comedic intent.

BTW, your signature is from one of the most underrated and last good Anthrax albums, in my opinion.

Yes, I am referring to the vocals. At some points in the song, they remind me of OLD. I do like them.

Yeah, the screeching yelps in the thrash parts are somewhat close.

Anthrax has always been a favorite of mine, as it was one of the first bands I liked when my taste in music started taking shape.
