I really can't understand the Trump supporter penchant for calling people liars. None of the cast of characters in any of these stories is a bigger liar than Donald J Trump. I could drop a list of 200 lies Trump has told since the inauguration on you right now.

Trump is liar.

As long as you're supporting the biggest liar of the bunch, it's just absurd to try to question anyone else's credibility.

Considering The Source

a reply to: Xcathdra

Something definitely doesn't add up, but thankfully the nature of public press leaks is that they are documented by the press for later analysis.

In this case, the Times shares some important clues about the identities of their sources:

In a Private Dinner, Trump Demanded Loyalty. Comey Demurred.

(Excerpts)

The conversation that night in January, Mr. Comey now believes, was a harbinger of his downfall this week as head of the F.B.I., according to two people who have heard his account of the dinner.

Mr. Comey’s associates said that the new president requested the dinner he described, and said that he was wary about attending because he did not want to appear too chummy with Mr. Trump, especially amid the Russia investigation.

During the meal, according to the account of the two associates, Mr. Comey tried to explain to Mr. Trump how he saw his role as F.B.I. director.

So according to the Times, the source of this leak was two of Mr. Comey's associates who were close enough to him to be told the details of a private conversation with the President.

What's not clear is whether these associates spoke to the Times without James Comey's knowledge or approval.

While it's possible they acted independently, it seems highly implausible that two different people would speak to the press about something so sensitive without consulting Comey first.

Hence the need to determine the sources of this and other leaks, and the need for a comprehensive investigation to make that happen.

Comey isn't one of Trump's staff. What NDA do you imagine he signed, when did he sign it and what did it say? Do you really believe that Comey would violate an NDA? You're just saying NDA! NDA! NDA! as though you actually know something concrete about any NDA Comey may or may not have signed.

I'll assume that Comey is likely more of an authority on any NDA he may have signed than you and that he's not an idiot.

As FBI director he must sign a classified information document(s) Duh.. He or any top US official will need security clearances to be able to do their jobs. He will sign documents that even mention the unauthorized disclosure of all kinds of info, even just restricted and confidential information. Comey being exposed to Hillary kind of infected his thinking obviously, so he started leaking whatever suited his whims. Too bad for America and the legal process everyone else must adhere to.

Trumps lawyer hasn't filed anything so that means Trumps lawyer is just doing damage control for the public eye.

You say this even though ONLY 24 hours has passed since COMEY comes clean?

Why not wait a month and lets see what docs he files because TRUMP is NOT going to drop this which includes his attorney.

It's pay back....something TRUMP is good at.

I think Comey came out of this looking pretty good, as opposed to what most expected. And I think the truth was much less impressive than the rumors, so Trump came out looking just fine as well. All in all, kind of a nothing sammich, much healthier than a burger.

My question wasn't to say that you said it, just that you are the resident Trump hater, and most of your threads have that implication in them along with fear of his skin tone.

Knowing that Trump is more liberal than he is conservative, it still amazes me that all of the left is holding on to the hate so vigorously that letting him just be president for a few months without obstruction from some made up stories looks like it won't happen in my lifetime, and he might do some good things for all of us. Healthcare is going to implode soon and if the left could come up with some ideas instead of buckets of tears, they might have a say in the outcome.

Well in his defense he did get rid of Comey...

As for Rachel Maddow - enough said... She is horrible.

Yeah well, tonight she turned out to be a helluva lot more accurate than Trump's $1,500 per hr attorney, now didn't she?

Just horrible I tell ya.

And.....Getting rid of Comey was the beginning of the end for Trump and one day in the not too distant future, you too will realize what a colossal mistake that was.

She's wrong.

Comey specified today the loyalty dinner in in the memos, the May 11th report clearly was the first memo released.

Maddow is not a journalist, she's a propagandist and she'll spin the truth to feed her gullible audience.

She is not wrong! She hit the nail on the head again and either you're too ignorant to understand or you're just another liar like Trump & his lawyer.

The May 11 memo wasn't released until May 16th.

My theory is Comey was to bring down Trump from the inside. There was a reason Trump fired Comey when he was out on the West coast. The testimony to Congress was a last ditch attempt to stop Trumps presidency and all Comey managed to do was admit to leaking and violating several other laws when he decided not to notify the DOJ of his concerns about Trump.

This entire mess has spectacularly blown up in Democrats faces.

Calm down Snowflake... Its Rachel Maddow... no point in getting all uppity to defend a partisan hack with a truth problem.

and yet everything she kept pushing about Trump turned out to be a lie.

Hardly.

At this point in time, Trump is probably the world's most documented liar and Rachael Maddow has been tearing his ass up for doing so.

Ya'll just dislike Maddow for the same reason ya'll dislike Nancy Pelosi and that's because they're both extremely effective.

What do you want to bet that Trump loses his job before Maddow?

Both extremely effective?? At what, lying?

Pelosi and Maddow are liars plain and simple.

If either of them were effective we would not have a Republican Congress or a Republican President. Democrats would not be down over 1000 seats at all levels of government in all 50 states.

You keep sticking your head in the sand though...

The only way Trump is out of a job before Maddow is if her contract is renewed through 2024 when Trump leaves office. If you are going down the stupid ass impeachment road then you and the rest need to learn how impeachment actually works.

InfoWars? Really? That's your bastion of truth?

IMO, Anyone who utilizes Alex Jones and/or InfoWars to defend their position as one of truth, is grasping at straws and hardly worthy or capable of intelligent debate.

On the other hand, Alex Jones is just as unhinged as Donald Trump so your attraction to his delusional insanity is to be somewhat expected.

and yet I noticed you attacked one source that documented Rachel Maddow lying while ignoring the other sources documenting her lies.

So you then resort to the personal attack in an effort to discredit the person while offering up nothing to refute my statement and videos posted.

I see now why you are a Maddow fan... your cut from the same cloth.... sad

Yea... Attorneys. He also said that Trump never said the things Comey said he did. As if he was in the room. As if saying that from a lawyer makes it fact. Douchebag.

Look, I listened to as much of those videos as I could until it became clearly evident that the venture was a total waste of time.

None of what I saw proved or "documented" that anyone lied about anything.

They're just opinion pieces orchestrated by right wing zealots who insists that any and all dissenting opinions are malicious lies.

Plainly put, they're a load of crap.

Just like Alex Jones.....who is also a constant load of delusional crap.

How much are you wanting to bet?

I'll bet you $100 against a doughnut hole that Trump doesn't produce a single tape covering the conversations in question.
