Looks interesting.
Still early but I think we might see a resurgence of Labour in Scotland tonight. Just from discussions and social media debates, a number of SNP voters are swinging back over to Labour. A combination of a new found like for Corbyn ...fed up of Indy Refs ...an utter disgust for T. May and an attempt to get rid of the Tories.
If the exit polls are accurate and she fails to win an overall majority government..I reckon she will lose her leadership. Who then get's the Brexit job ?
Maybe that's why she's called it in the first place ( risky tactic at best ), so she can get herself out of those tricky Brexit negotiations ? Was she ever up to that mammoth task ? The last few weeks have seen her flipping and flopping over her own policies...how would she have managed to stick to her guns and come out with the fabled " good deal " from Brussels ?

Anyhow...looks like another interesting night in politics. Don't think I am staying awake for this one though.
Whatever happens, tomorrow we will still wake up to the lunatics running the asylum.

25% vote by post ? Seems high, that. Thought you could only vote by post if you were infirm and unable to vote in person, forces serving overseas, those working abroad etc ? Surprising.

See Alex Salmond might be out on his arse.

Safe Labour seat, but more importantly, the swing is far worse for Labour than the Exit poll suggested.

I've voted SNP since 2005 and today switched to Labour. SNP give the impression of being a one trick pony i.e. independence. Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favour of that. Meantime though we've got kids to educate, patients to treat, a whole raft of new devolved powers to exercise ... that's where the SNP have fallen down, they've rested on their laurels and they'll get punished for it tonight.

I think we may have new Prime Minister on the way by tomorrow morning, whoever wins tonight... May is going to have step down if she loses her majority.

I dont know.

Brexit negotiations start next week, starting them with no real leader will be a disaster.

3. Voting by post

You must apply for a postal vote if you want to vote by post, for example if you’re away from home or you’re abroad.

You don’t need to give a reason unless you’re voting in Northern Ireland.

I'm wondering if the upturn in the vote, mostly younger voters, is responsible for a large postal vote.

Labour lost my vote ..post Blair. I see would like to see SNP being more progressive...although I see them as the main socialist party in Scotland now, understandably their dominant aim has always been independence, but for this election they needed something more to grab the Scottish voters attention. The issues such as threats to human rights, single market, dismantling the NHS, security and policing....are all centre stage. The country needs fixing now, which can only happen from a central government at the moment...and probably not by Theresa May...( who feels naughty running through fields of wheat ?? ) ......we can all argue about Indy Ref 2 later.
