Shout out for hero officer

In the recent attack on London among all the horror and the negative, there was a shining star. A rookie officer who stood up for the three terrorists with nothing else but his baton. He did what all police officers (not CPOs) and military personal supposed to do. Defend the public, defend the innocent at all cost. Even if the price is a reminder for the rest of his life.

A British Transport Police officer who tried to take on the London Bridge jihadis armed only with his baton has sustained 'life-altering injuries' after being stabbed in the face. The officer suffered injuries to his face, leg and hands as he tried to take on the knife-wielding extremists as they went on a crazed rampage along London Bridge and Borough Market on Saturday evening. Edit: as news comes slowly there was a second hero, an ordinary guy, a football fan who also attempted to stop these dogs. He received eight stab wounds in exchange. Amazing bravery!!!

Great post szino9, and a big shout out from me too

This guy has only been a copper for 2 years and he headed straight into the danger on his own with such heroic bravery and armed only with a baton (basically a stick) to go head to head with 3 crazed terrorists with knives and what looked like suicide vests. He must have been scared out of his mind but his desire to protect and save life overcame that.

A true hero!

I hope that he is officially recognized for his bravery. He deserves to proud, and the British people can be proud of him.

Honestly these and the ones act similar, are the men who slightly restore my believe in humanity.

Absolutely and a proper hero.

Along with Roy Larner, the Millwall Fan who got stabbed 8 times taking them on. I properly love this bloke now becuase not only was he a hero but in interviews he also describes his actions as him being "a bit of an idiot". His interviews are great: "they got in and were singing Islam, Islam, Islam and i just went # you im Millwall and went for them".

He even chased after them after being stabbed 8 times!

Yes this man is a true hero, I agree 100%. I just find it appalling that the man had to nearly sacrifice his life to melee weapons just to do his job.

Just as long as he wasn't recorded saying anything bad about Islam he'll remain a hero. NHS will cover his medical as well. Good to hear a positive story of bravery among the English police, I hear far too many jokes about them. It takes even more skill to be a police officer when you dont have a gun to make your point.
