How did Russia effect the election results again?

Relentless propaganda across multiple platforms. We got the political mess they wanted. Americans seem to have forgotten the civil wars in Ukraine and Syria that Russia has been stoking, and I'm willing to bet you had no idea that they are making moves against Japan.

And here is how NATO con attack a country and blame it on Russia or anybody else. It's a simplified scheme of course but gives a general idea ...



In short :

1) Proxi machines (Machine 1 and Machine 2) run a malwaare in the russian side that infects many other unwitting machines (Machine *N)
2) Meanwhile in the EU-NATO side a similar malware originatign from Machines (A and B) infect many other unwitting machines (Machine *M)

3) roughly at a simultaneous time all machines on the russian side, will start sending innocouous packets to the target that might contain garbled data or, maybe just a video or other innocous material, and in the EU side all machines start to attack, with packets of the same size that are coming from the Russian side, but with spoofed (impersonated) addresses (replaced IP ad MAC addresses) copied over from the Russian side but these ones have specifically designed contents that will create a breach or a DDoS or some other type of disruption.

4) The main node at the Russian side has now recorded the communication of garbled, or video or other innocuous data, but that gets ignored by the server at the target DUE to ITS unrecognizable and seemingly useless CONTENT. Meanwhile the well aimed attack from the EU side with spoofed addresses is caught and processed, as its content is PERCEIVED by the target as a legitimate content.

Therefore, the main node at the Russian side will contain lots of logging of equally sized packets being sent to the target host, but with a legal and non dangerous content
Instead the node at the EU side will see packets that are apparently coming from Russia but they are in reality routed from within the country.
Only a more in depth investigation on nodes that log everything, would reveal such spoof attacks. Obviously this is taken into account by attack planners. Possibly exploiting minor nodes and switches, and also proper packet routing and switching is important.
