There used to be an excellent Police Federation YouTube video of the 2012 protest march. It had several thousand views but it's gone now. My comment, direct entry superintendents is a way of putting spooks in charge of the police, was voted top comment. Something to think about.

It is not a single comprehensive solution, but an increase in our ridiculously low police numbers would be a massively mitigation against it.

Call me crazy, and i do break some laws, but i would not have a problem with increasing or at least maintaining current levels, the Police service will always be under strain, dont forget they still have to deal with "day to day" crimes which still affect peoples lives

The UK Police generally have a outstanding reputation for dealing with crime and the fact we still try to arrest suspects should be valued...IMO
