So getting together with only your "own color" and celebrating is a diverse thing to do?

You have the definition of diversity wrong.

I don't think this is a segregation or as some one said a beginning of segregation. This is just a celebration of diversity.

Why should we celebrate diversity?
We are all diverse.

Ask them. They're the ones who wanted this.

Want what?
I don't know what they want and I don't think they know what they are asking for.

Like I said ask them. And what they did brought attention to diversity. I know it seems paradoxical.

It's counterproductive.

The people they most want to be aware of their "diverseness" are the very ones NOT seeing them because they've separated themselves.

If they felt they weren't visible before, well they surely aren't visible after removing themselves.

Now if the real problem is that they simply don't feel that anyone is paying them enough attention for the mere reason that they belong to Group A (or whatever it is), then removing themselves from the larger community is a way to address that because now they can pay all the attention to that they want, but it doesn't increase awareness of diversity in the larger population because they are simply gone.

So why not just go back to over half a century ago and have white only bathroom and black only bathrooms?

That would bring even more attention to diversity!

You can not ask a collective a question.
I'm asking you.

No, it makes you aware of all the different groups who might wish to have their own separate bathroom facilities in the same way that having separate commencements would "increase diversity."

Think about it. When you hit toilet hall and see about 50 or 60 different johns lined up with "Blacks Only," "Whites Only," "Lesbians Only," "Gays Only," "Martians Only," "Hindus Only," etc., listed on them, it will make you aware of how diverse your community is in the same way seeing all the different commencement ceremony dates on the calendar will.

The only sad thing is that we can no longer have "Men Only" and "Women Only" restrooms because that's hateful.

I hope not.
You and Tiny gang up and deflect to the point that it could be considered spam.

Deflect? Out of control? For expressing my opinion that I don't think there's anything wrong with this?
Are you sure you are not out of control yourself?

He was using an hyperbole to force his point on me. Of course if they did that with the bathrooms I would have a problem with that. Who wouldn't?
