here is an index of contradictions (another word for plotholes right?) in the bible for those who just havent had enough fun yet:

skepticsannotatedbible.com...

its...uh...pretty extensive...

You'd think your post would put an end to this thread

But I have a feeling it won't.

Why stop a good thing?

People don't care about links and hardly ever use them, they already know about Biblical contradictions and don't need one.

There is no shortage and 1 link isn't going to cover all so that you think it would amuses me.

You know what amuses me? The fact that you took my post personally

I mocked it, didn't take it personally, you are an arrogant fella and need to be told.

by confirming your own laziness

I am not lazy for having much knowledge so as not to need not links, your crappy suggestion that a link should end this thread is amusing because it's lazy.

Not I. Read my comments I am obviously informed and not lazy intellectuallyor otherwise.

It's amusing you percieve that as lazy but probably you just need to hurl an insult. Go ahead.

and inability to click a link and passing that same presumed laziness and inability to click a link onto others. Lol. You seem so cranky haha. Who cares if you're too lazy to click a link and read? There are two reasons this thread is ongoing. Firstly, there are those that are Christians that are arguing AGAINST the contradictions that are being presented.

And secondly, there's you. You're agreeing with the contradictions all while spouting off in long-form about Islam and your conversion to it from Christianity and how you demand that people you're arguing with say that you're right abut pointless minuscule snippets like someone's age and and blah blah blah.

This thread is reaching a slow, inevitable death (hence the posting of the link). Most will no longer bother to post ere and soon you'll be ranting to yourself.

Have fun with that, bro.

You confuse a lack of necessity (I own a Bible and know most contradictions by heart) with laziness but the simple fact is because I am NOT lazy is the reason I know as much as I do.

Which at the risk of being arrogant which is outweighed by the fact it's true...far surpasses your's and if you want to challenge me to prove it that would be awesome.

I love bringing the arrogant down to humility by way of knowledge.

No one needs to tell me anything, fella, as I'm not arrogant. I'm not the one insulting everyone for no true reason. People who have differing opinions on here and who are posting in this thread are upsetting you, so you resort to name calling to try and make yourself and your opinions appear more legitimate. It doesn't work like that. And again, I'm not hurt by your comments.
I don't upset easily, so I'm cool as a cucumber. From the moment I started posting, you seemed to have resorted to name calling because you have no other idea how to properly hold a conversation/debate on a forum. If you don't like what someone says, you don't name call and resort to 'mocking' them. You'll find yourself alone in a race that doesn't count towards anything.

Do you know what arrogant even means? You're seriously making me laugh over here, you calling others arrogant while you post nonsense about how intellectual you are..and bragging about how you know the bible's contradictions by heart.

Hahaha

From the way you spoke Reya it is apparent you WANT this thread to end because you said one link SHOULD but probably wouldn't, do so.

If that isn't Intellectual laziness what is?

You don't discuss one of the contradictions just mention a link has been provided so you and everyone else don't or should not have to and the thread should cease.

If you weren't so lazy you'd like to discuss every contradiction in said link yet didn't even MENTION ONE!

My challenge to you if select from the link any contradiction you desire and if a reasonable reconciliation by way of exegesis is possible I will do so.

My library is vast and my Apocrypha collection almost complete.

I have and read the Zohar, al-Ghazali and everything else related to Biblical Apocrypha, something I have actually read every book of.

So do what you wish but if you decide to challenge my knowledge you will be dissapointed in your ability to compete.

I live in books dude.

If you think your angry insults are being taken seriously by ne know in my opinion you are ridiculous to the extreme in your arrogance.

You don't even realize it so it might be a bigger problem than you realize.

Arrogance isn't all bad...if you know what you are talking about and...you don't.

Want me to show you how and why I came to this conclusion?

Be happy to oblige if so.

I will critique every word you've spoken in this thread if you want me to.

You can try the same with me.

That would be pointless. No one is going to do that with you, because, it's a vapid waste of time. And again, with your insults. Try to get your point across without insulting people. You might be surprised.

And I would disagree with your statement about how not all arrogance is bad. In fact, I'd say it is mutually agreed among the masses that people should no be arrogant.

""He who has in his heart the weight of an atom of pride shall not enter Paradise."

This should sound familiar to you.

I honestly don't care if this thread lives or dies. A poster posted a link and I simply made a post in passing with the cadence of a joke by saying it could end the thread. That is all. Stop making a mountain out of an ant hill. No one else is arguing with you so you set sights on me, hahaha.

Consider this my last post to you because you're a huge ball of triggered stress with nothing better to do than argue with everyone, insult everyone and brag to everyone about pointless things no one cares about.

Have fun with yourself, brother.
Buh-bye.

You declined my challenge fine, I would too if I were you.

But it's pointless because you will lose not because it is actually truly pointless.

The point is you called me lazy.

I am willing to prove you wrong since on your own you are incapable of deducing that I am obviously not and know a lot because I am not.

I don't blame you I would not want to be made a fool of either but you opened your big mouth and talked all types of trash.

I just added facts to the thread.

I accept you concede defeat and that you are incapable of competing with me in debate because my knowledge exceeds your's and that you are defacto acknowledging it with Intellectual sloth being the reason.

You are too lazy to lose in debate and scared you might learn something from someone you desire to refute but aren't capable of refuting.

Because I said nothing refutable.

I did not say that i am a christian. I think that religion divides and that is human flaw. I was however analysing religion from the Christian perspective because that is the one that is more familiar to me. However, I believe that all the religions around speak of one truth and you just need to look at the messengers who brought this truths from Christ, Mohammed, Krishna Buddha and others theirs was not to start a religion but to enlighten people. In order to live right with thy self. I believe that Christ came with the right message but so did Mohammed and Krishna and Buddha. They added to their voices to the same message. Instead of diving the scriptures we should have combined all of the different philosophies and build one faith.

The plot holes in the Bible could be covered by truths in the Quran, and those that are there could be covered by truths from the teachings of Buddha and Krishna. Probably even then there will be some contradictions but in time they will all be revealed to us through someone. There will be other messengers question is will people listen...

I agree with you that the Bible isn't the originator of Love or faith. As an African we had this in through our traditional values. We did not need the bible for that because we had it as part of our systems. Everybody had a place in the community and they worked towards fulfilling the requirements of that position so as to help the larger community and tribe. hunters would hunt, gathers would herd cattle, farmers would farm and so on and so on. Our African traditions were filled with love for self and the community knowing that each person is a unique and important cog in whole community.

So i don't believe the bible is the one truth. Its a book fro one community written about that one community and how that community came to know and understand God. If all the ancient societies were as keen to keeping their records as the jews were then we would have a couple of holy Books out there. But the one thing that would be true is the nature of God and the nature of Man. Whether you pray through Christ, or Mohammed, or a Mountain, to me doesn't matter. What are you praying about is the question. The motivation behind it is what matters the intentions. How you live your life...
So GOD created Love and out of Love we are here. Love might not be a religion but its is the backbone of every single one of them.

I read the Bible. A few times actually and am aware of the contradictions especially the New Testament.

It's why I am a Muslim.

The Qur'an is closer to Jesus pbuh teachings than Pauline trinitarian Christianity.

I agree too the Prophets never taught a NEW religion just the TRUE religion in many forms..

It might surprise some but Muslims believe in over 100,000 Prophets, some known most not.

Zoroaster is considered a Prophet, Hermes is equated with Idris/Enoch and many consider Buddha to be a Prophet, mostly Sufis.

Appollonius of Tyana, Cyrus the Great, not all Hebrews from Abraham either.

Interestingly enough with no way of having access to banned Apocrypha in Arabia is the amount of Apocryphal books that share extra Biblical traditions with the Qur'an.

Abraham and the fire is from Jewish Aggada.

Proto Gospels, 'Pseudo'-Matthew, Coptic Revelation of Peter which was found at Nag Hammadi but isn't Gnostic at all.

The Dead Sea Scrolls too have information that is relevant to Islam. Jewish (Zionic is what he calls himself not ist, ic, I don't know why) Islamic scholar Robert Eisenman, the pre-eminent scholar of the scrolls, says Islam is the true Spiritual successor to the Nazarenes and Ebionites and the Way, all terms used in the DSS, all terms for Messianic Judaism, the Nazarene Judahites (Ebionim, Nosrei ha Brit, The Way, 12 leaders, 3 pillars and 1 instructor is the organizational method of the NT Nazarenes too.

Zaddikim as in Ya'akov ha Zaddik or Righteous, James the Just.

Homilies and Recognitions also shares content with the Qur'an and none of those books were legal, some in caves, at the time of Mohammed saws. And most in Greek or Latin.

Scholarly.

Why are so many Christians so immature?

It's because you ignore Jesus pbuh and say we don't, that Islam is closer to the teachings of Jesus pbuh in fact let me prove it....

John 5:30

"I can do nothing on my own.

5:19

"Very truly. I tell you, the son can do nothing on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does the son does likewise."

Qur'an teaches Jesus pbuh got his power from God.

So does Jesus.

23. All who do not honor the son do not honor the Father WHO SENT HIM."

Qur'an teaches Jesus pbuh was a Messenger sent from God.

And actually honors Jesus'pbuh requests.

30. I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge; my judgement is just, because I don't seek to do my own will but the Will of Him Who sent me."

Islam means literally, to submit to God's Will.

Which brings inner Peace or Salaam as in "Peace be with you."

Jesus pbuh did and so do we.

Seems clear to me.

2:256 There is no compulsion of any sort in matters of religion for the right way stands clearly distinguished from the way of error.

Jesus pbuh never forced anyone to accept his teachings like the Church did and neither did or does Islan as we take that passage extremely seriously proven by the mind boggling amount of diverse sects in Islam.

Catholics eradicated whole religions.

Islam didn't.

Any questions???
