News reports about an explosion outside the Vatican walls are coming in

Apparently there was a huge explosion outside the Vatican walls. Pics on Twitter show large thick smoke plumes eminating from an area around the Vatican walls. The cause of it is still unclear but there are unconfirmed reports that it was from a explosion. Story is still developing. I'll try to keep this thread updated.

I just read a report saying it might have been a local garage outside the Vatican walls.

One news outlet in Rome claimed a large fire had erupted at an auto garage or wrecking yard near the walls of the Vatican

The are typically drained but if there is a small amount left that is more dangerous than a full tank since as the remaining fuel warms it becomes a large volume of vapor which is very volatile.

I left any speculation out intentionally because as for now there is no indication that it was a terrorist attack. There are also still no casualties reported.
