My computer was hacked by an unknown, so I'm not saying it was FBI.

I'd like to think our military is superior worldwide, but this thing was beyond what I've heard or seen. It's ability to project communications is the strange part. Maybe I was imagining this, but honestly I was wide awake. I'm not sure what to think. I'm not willing to rule out military dirigible or some such thing. Maybe even a Google communications balloon landed for servicing?

Sorry to deflate your bubble O.P.

This was swamp gas reflecting off a weather balloon studying the clouds of Venus.

Or a UFO.

I would say it was not military. There isn't any reason for any military to test top secret aircraft over public areas like that. And anything with that much lighting on it while still being silent is beyond current known technology. Way beyond.

Anything military with radical capabilities like what you saw are never test flown where anyone can see them. Area 51-52 (Dugway proving grounds) would be standard. If they were, it would be a HUGE military blunder. The kind of blunder where people could be shot and left in the desert for.

Thanks for the vid, but not at all similar. Mine was flayer and more squareish. with a bottom of gridded light panels.

You are likely right. This thing lit up the countryside like daytime. Not too subtle if you are testing a secret black project aircraft. Unless that aircraft was meant to light up the battlefield and draw attention to itself. Not a good strategy for testing or in battle. It didn't look like your traditional blimp or dirigible either.

Ah but youd be very wrong.

Sometimes theyre even brazen about it.

In los angeles alone ive seen 5 different and classified pretty damned advanced planforms doing their thing.

Thing is its easy to count on 99.99 percent of the people to simply not lookup and be ableto get away with some ballsy and confident navigation over a major city like los angeles and rarely ever be noticed let alone understood or caught.

I was hoping to identify this by some leaked info on an upcoming aircraft or something like a transport. Though I didn't see anything on the underside that resembled an entrance for cargo. The whole bottom was lighted panels.
When I got close enough I have to say it resembled something out of Close Encounters and my mind just went NAH!, that can't be a UFO, its too expected looking.

I was hoping to draw that out by my earlier comments. I do know that some aircraft can easily be military, but it seems to have no real sense behind testing over public areas unless it has more to do with a test in sociology rather than hardware function.

Edit: I still stand behind my earlier comment that what the OP is showing is probably not military. Or maybe it is, if they have magneto shells all figured out. I suppose they could, it has been classified for a while, and research is ongoing.

And unless the US military now has a highly efficient magneto aerodynamic system incorporated into unconventional aircraft shapes like rectangular slabs with multi billion candle power lighting systems and the silent (reported in OP) power generation systems needed to produce it, and provide lift, I'm not buying that this was anything military.

Not even in their blackest unacknowledged SAPS. Knowledge of the existence of these things is there, just not reproducible.

This image was on a NASA spaceflight page, so anything is possible, but I just don't get why take the risk of tests over public areas.

Well it was near a busy highway, but at a late time at night. I guess I can find no terrestrial explanation either. I thought for sure someone on ATS would have some idea of a terrestrial answer. I'd hoped an accurate image reproduction would help. The high strangemness part is still troubling, but I was hoping to chalk it up to something like effects of a strong magnetic field or some such thing.

So, it remains unidentified to date, I guess.

Maybe I should try hypnosis to see if I can get anything else out of the sighting. Just not sure how reliable it is, or if the practitioner should be someone that is highly practiced in hypnosis.

Assuming it was military and super secret, if that was the case, it would be very compartmentalized, and would belong to an unacknowledged special access program, which means only a few people would know all about it. Those who contributed to it's manufacture wouldn't even know what the final product was, let alone do. For someone to just go and fly this thing around in public would jeopardize the entire program. Saying they are mostly ours just doesn't add up for a ton of reasons.

People who have friends that tell them UFO secrets are only hearing carefully crafted propaganda about who's flying them and who owns them.
I spent 2 years living and working at Kirtland AFB And know that most of these things are definitely not ours by the things that they do, and by how the military responds to them. I also know directly from people on base there that they want the public to "think" they are ALL "ours". They spend hundreds of millions of dollars on counterintelligence programs for that purpose.

This is the same M.O. the Air Force office of special investigations has run for decades. Keeping people thinking they are not aliens visiting, because if everyone believed that, especially all those pesky congressmen and senators, the military would never get a minutes rest from the inquiries. If they believe and are vigorously told it was "ours" or some other mundane mis-identification, then everything is peaceful.

Thanks for the informed perspective. Have you ever heard of a shape/lighting like what I show in the OP from your reference of back channel reports?

Just came across this video on YouTube. Even though it looks similar to what I saw, I have to consider if this is just CGI. One of the impressions I had at the time of the sighting was a distinct impression the object was mapping the area.

I didn't see anything go into the light panels, but the square portal shown in the vid looks very similar to what I saw.

Yes lots of things I have heard about. I have seen a few myself while living on KAFB in Albuquerque, but not rectangle ones. I have heard of them though from people there including a few officers. There are a surprising amount of reports of large rectangle shaped things but with many varying lighting configurations and colors and behavior. IF we were to believe these were mostly military, then they have more models to choose from than all the cars ever built and all the different models and car manufacturers have ever made. Another reason not to believe they are all ours.

Who are you getting threats from and who is springer?

Oh and if you were/are getting threats over this thread how come you would go and "bump" it right to the top and bring more attention to it when it was already buried several pages back? Doesn't make sense. ..

I would guess that the answer to the first is "them."

But the answer to the second is Mark. One of the owners of ATS.
