Navy seals would not have been used to take out Kim.
Why, because they would never blend in, they would never pass as Koreans.
In Iraq and Afghanistan the seals grew beards and darkened there skin and went native.
They could never pass in NK.
A CIA deep team made up of Koreans could pass. yes they may have been seal trained but not been seal team.
Exactly, however there's plenty of Chinese/Korean/Japanese SEALS or even Marine MARSOC that could blend in easily without sticking out like a sore thumb.
What's the saying? When there's a firefight during a Recon mission, someone fukced up.
Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese all stick out like a sore thumb when not in their own Asian cultures. They're not identical.
Beyond that, "plenty" is a pretty relative term. SO forces are overwhelmingly white. Far beyond the percentages in even the conventional military.
Dude, what the heck are you talking about, in my old unit alone there were enough Asian grunts that could make up a team and blend in, just like the white spec ops in A-Stan. I'm sure there's more then a fire teams worth out of the few hundreds of current seal members that are full blooded Korean.

Yeah, fun. Heh. AFSOC was testing the AC-130J a couple years ago, and wound up having to write the first aircraft off after they rolled inverted, in a vertical dive, which resulted in an over G so bad it only flew again to get from Florida to Arizona for scrapping.
