Sorry Shauny, with the greatest respect, all you have written in this thread really does come across as a load of virtue signalling, contradictory, right on bs. Not sure wether this is a troll thread or just one using recent tragic events and an emotive subject to star gather and collect flags.

To answer the question to your thread. I don`t think "we" fear any % of muslims. There are certainly a very small % of "we" that have decided to become quite hysterical about the possibilities of being caught up in a terror attack by a Muslim suicide bomber. The ones I know like that wouldn`t know where to point to Libya or Saudi Arabia on a map, haven`t got one iota about Islam or any other religion, including their own and just tend to read the attention grabbing headlines in the media.

I think the vast majority of "we" are just growing very concerned and getting mightily peed off by this very small % of muslims committing these atrocities. Why these atrocities are happening and who benefits the most from them is for a different thread.

People are getting quite peed off with these terror attacks and the media circus that has become the norm in the aftermath of such incidences (people crying, video of the attack shown again and again, muslims at vigils with placards saying not in my name, politicians saying how strong and united the people of wherever are, couple of benefit concerts in memory ect ect then BOOM. Rinse and repeat ).

"WE" are getting very distrustful of the perpetrators of such things and a large percentage are getting quite vengeful. That is not fear, Hasn`t the media told you how strong and united the people are??? We are not afraid! Keep calm and carry on etc. The more terror attacks that happen the more stronger and united we will become surely?

So not very many people are actually afraid of this small % of people, muslims! just wary and vigilant of people who practice the same religion. Unfortunate, but still it`s human nature.

Don`t try and blend the current situation regarding terrorism with that of the Troubles. They are totally different.

No Go Areas in the UK....

No people don`t need passports and the such to move between areas of the Uk. However Shauny, I will tell you now, YES there are no go areas for people in the UK. Incidentally you claim there is none and we all live in a beautiful bubble of peace and harmony here in the UK yet then you put up videos of staunch Orange areas of Scotland. Honestly, i`ll start close to your neck of the woods. Are you saying that someone could walk through Larkhall or Harthill with a Celtic top on and everyone in them villages would be fine with that? No, av the scars to prove it.

What do you think would happen if someone was to wear an England football jersey, with a shaved balding head and tattoos through Glodwick in Oldham . They would last 5 minutes before they was "chased out", just as a muslim, wearing traditional garb would be kicked out of Limeside in the same town.So some people certainly can`t walk through such areas, no matter how liberal they may be in their beliefs without meeting resistance.

Right Bonnie Prince Charlie, you failed to mention the child grooming which involves torture,murder and gang rape of young underage white English children by masses of Pakistani Muslims males and is so disproportionate statistically against the population demographics that it is mindblowing.

They live amongst us and it's impossible to tell who the bad ones are so it's better as few as possible live amongst us and live in their homelands.

I grew up in an area that is now 50% Muslim and is down to 20% white British and to be honest I did not have any issues but if for some reason you end up in any kind of confrontation with a Muslim you will be surrounded by about 50 within minutes and 5 minutes later if you are actually giving it back despite the numbers then there will be 150 but you wouldn't know that because you live in a far off place distant from it all.

When our children are targetted the gloves are off and bare in mind these are totally race motivated crimes but they are never discussed as such because only white people are racist so if you see knee jerk reactions what do you expect,you should have focused your thread on what can we do to help the children that are being ruined for life by dirty slimy cowards but no Mr Celtic man you decide to go on some strange oppressed Fenian victim rant.

Social attitudes across the UK are very similar. The Scots are not any different from the English, or Welsh, or Irish in their desire for peace and all that.

To the OPs specific point... While I agree that bombing people can result in a cycle that comes back, that is a gamble that has to be taken. The intervention in Sierra Leone was a good thing, as was the intervention on Kosovo that protected Muslims. Even the intervention in Libya was conceived to prevent Gadaffi brutally suppressing dissent. Turning a blind eye is not the solution.

Islam is an expansionist and at heart, barbaric religion, whose aim is to completely dominate the world. If you think otherwise then you do not understand Islam.

No need to fear them just yet in most places, but if you were dropped into Iraq, Syria, Iran and many other places I imagine you would change your mind.

Where do you live may I ask?

There are plenty of no go areas in cities throughout the U.K.

On top of that there are many more areas where most would feel exceptionally uncomfortable.

Having lived in Leicester 3 times over the last 40 years I can tell you that my last stint was punctuated by Muslim violence and intolerance towards non Muslims and white people in particular. You could be set upon walking home of an evening by car loads of young Muslims calling us scum, white trash, racists and even homosexuals, which we were not.

Birmingham is as bad or worse in places, as is Bolton and many other areas.
