Its a longer call that is deeper than a tweet or a chirp. To me it sounds like a parrot would sound if it was shouting oyy to get someone's attention.

Conures....has to be Conure calls. They are a type of small parrot and screamers. I mean that in the nicest way, they are adorable and I enjoy them, but when they are happy they are riotously L.O.U.D.

There are a ton of different varieties plus they make a ton of different calls, you're going to have to listen to a LOT of them to find the specific call you're looking for. Have them at the Aviary here in town and they're the ones that give it that jungle-feel.

If they have a lot of different calls it could well be those that make the noise. I thank you for attempting to put me out of my misery.

It could be, but I have been unable to find any recording of a macaw making that particular noise.

...of Oyyyyyyyyyyy. I am sorry I have nothing else to help identify the bird in question because that is what I am trying to find out. This has been bugging me for a very long time and anyone who can solve this for me can have my firstborn and my kingdom and I'll throw in the elixir of eternal youth for good measure.

I spent some time googling youtubes of screaming Conures and Conure calls for ya. I know what you mean but finding that exact call has been a PITA. People just won't get outta the way of their animals in a youtube, and just film the damn animal!

Sorry!
