It´s painfull to watch "professional journalists" degrading over the last two decades. I´ve read a german text from an anonymous (I know... ) journalist that was working for the Springer group (BILD.de, welt.de etc) and how they internally applaud themselfes for good running stories, even if they are 100% fabricated. They had a monitor up to see the best articles and after some time, everyone was lying to an extend in the articles, just to be Top10.

She quit because of moral and ethics.

Personally I think that they should have to belong to a professional organization that has oversight and investigative ability. They are no longer able to keep themselves in check, it's just a sad state of affairs.

The problem is the overwhelming amount of youngsters that choose the job to have some audience and influence, I was told. Talk about the worst of the worst swapping over from facebook and whatnot, bringing their "ethics of work" into the field. To reach a maximum amount of people, not to investigate, think critically and spread informations.

He said to me it´s getting worser and worser since around 2010. Not only little things like "hey you can´t write it like that because it implies this" answer: "it´s just a single word, why the fuss".

The mental picture he painted was dystopian in terms of honest journalism. He said most papers -in his experience- will curb an article in favor of the town/big advertiser.

This is a second hand opinion I relayed, I´m not working in the news sector.

Verschickter has proven solid in my interaction with them, I've not felt like reaching thru the screen and strangling them, they debate well and can hold an opposite opinion of mine and still convey information about the issue at hand. If you are making an issue of their location, so be it. I have no reason to doubt the members veracity. Why don't you try setting some devious trap for them and see if you can trip them up if you are concerned about it. As for now, i see Speigel for the rag it is.

You are right that Merkel sticks very, very deep in the southern exit of the former US of A. She grew up in the GDR, where the people even gave embarassing "US american" names to their children, like Ronny(think of Reagan) and stuff.
But it is not her that is representing the deep state in Germany, this is, still since 1945, and up to 2099, the former US of A!

Nothing happens here that that wouldn´t be of profit for the former US of A! And to the detriment of the rest of the world!
