Some journalists are fools, they are emotional, illogical, bitter and nasty - they may be on TV or radio, but they have no integrity and are a laughable source of (hyper-bias) information.

To be fair, Sean Hannity has said on camera that he never claimed to be a journalist.

An excellent point. A growing number of people seem to be unable to tell the difference between news, editorial opinion, and polemics. Legitimate news media present editorials to make the reader aware of their biases. Polemical media present opinion as fact.

Should "weaponized propaganda" be banned? Censored? Who determines whether it is propaganda or not? (I assume you are advocating banning or punishing "weaponized propaganda," ie; viewpoints you violently disagree with.)

The problem starts with unconstitutional laws and EO's that allow IC propaganda into the newsroom. Yeah, it presents a pickle. Kills "free press" right there don't it? Yes it does.

The easy part is, in this particular instance, that by allowing propagandists into the "free press" we don't have to guess what is propaganda or not...we just need to get the IC alphabets out of the newsroom.

Propaganda is an attempt to persuade rather than inform. It may be factual or not, depending on the situation. Attempts to persuade are constitutionally protected speech. The freedom to persuade is a necessary part of the political process. Yes, even ridiculous attempts to sell you toothpaste by claiming that it makes you sexier is constitutionally protected, although there have been regulations put in place to prevent outright lies in advertising in order to protect consumers. Ad men find loopholes, of course.

What is your definition of propaganda, and how are your threads not propaganda, given that they are always a one sided attempt to persuade?
