Lights over lake ontario tonight multiple pics and videos

Thanks!!! Yeah I'm gonna try and see what else I can find too... I have some friends in that area so I'm gonna reach out and see if they saw anything.

Can you link the video that shows them coming out of a cloud? I only saw the time lapse which, obviously, skips frames/time in order to be "time lapse."

I clicked the link for the time lapse video. The first comment in facebook said they or someone contacted local coastguard after seeing the same lights last year. The coastguard rang back and said it was the Canadian Coastguard performing hover flare drills

I live in Rochester, NY and there have been some strange sightings over Lake Ontario in the past. Many don't know however, that a large swath of the lake is used for military exercises. This sighting looks like a military exercise, especially with the seen smoke trails emanating from the lights.

I'm really not sure what it is but it doesn't really look like flares... The time lapse shows them just appearing out of the clouds... U don't see a plane shooting off flares and they don't fizzle out.. They just seem to disappear again... I get that flares seems logical but it doesn't really fit in this case

Would that not be the case in a time-lapse video, as essential frames of reference could be skipped? I think the picture of the lights with smoke trails pretty much tells it as it is.

Do you know how a timelapse works Objects can seem to appear & disappear as it's usually made from a series of still images.

No i had no idea thats how time lapse works. Thank you for the info ... i still dont think they were flares though, but who knows. It seems like every time theres a sighting, some people want to push it away with simple explanations ...flares, weather ballons, what ever. But these things have been happening for a long time. Theres to many acounts to simply push everything under the rug every time. And i for one do not except thee explanation from the coast guard...american or canadian. We ve been lied to so much , they have lost there credibilty. It might just be flares, but i dont think that conclusion can be made so quickly, in my opion.
