British PM announces threat level raised to critical, considers deploying army to events in future

Deploying the army is huge here. Sounds like they think another one is imminent now. They may have Intel on a cell that is my guess.

Or maybe do something about the hate preachers that are allowed to speak in mosques and muslim faith schools???.... How about actually dealing with the source and not f#cking about for years in the court of human rights when these pieces of # actually get caught???..

How about actually admitting that there is a real problem.. As per normal the response from the "moderate" arm of the cult is silent...

Time to put a facebook filter up to show how in tune I am with the liberals that have allowed this BS, the noise coming from the media on this is absurd, "It is time to stand in solidarity", "we need to show how united we are as a nation", blah blah blah, more f#cking noise!!!.. I bet the parents of the kids that have just died do not think that.....

Sadly I fear this is just the start for 2017.

I'm surprised they haven't tried to require Islamic preachers submit their sermons before preaching, as they tried in Florida a few years back for Christian churches.

I've been in 3rd world countries where the Army patrols the streets. It is scary seeing trucks of men with high caliber automatic rifles glaring about. The UK is okay with putting its own citizens through that, but are unwilling to stop people from preaching the death and murder of citizens and the overthrow of the government.

To target a venue where you know the majority of the people present are teen age girls, what a hero. What God would value that turd? Under what insane, twisted, demented reality would some group actually take credit for this?

I try to be moderate. I'm sick of war. I rarely, if ever, think violence is the answer. But when there's a rabid dog about to attack you, you are forced to defend yourself. It took me a while to get there, but this is exactly what we are facing.

Bravo. They already know of 1000s of extremists. They should already have been rounded up and jailed/deported and ANY mosque or school preaching hate should be shut down. It seems our govt is already starting to forget, more interested in words and dramtic threat level ratings and we're about to wander into the next one, at which point we just repeat again. This sh** has to stop.

Raising the threat level does not stop BREXIT.....

just mental who some people take issues like this and twist them to make known their political agenda.

About time something was done about the radical elements.

My opinion: use this opportunity (activation of operation temperer) to round up the hate preachers, radical Islamist groups and right wing extremists and execute every one of them.

Send a message that you do not # with Britain and, if you encourage someone to kill our children, retribution will follow.

Also: don't give me the "we bombed their women and children" bull# - what happened in Manchester was a cowardly attack on innocents, not collateral damage (which is an unfortunate and sad side effect of warfare when you hide military targets in civilian areas).

The prime minister said soldiers would be placed in key public locations to support armed police in protecting the public. Military personnel may also be seen at other events over the coming weeks, such as concerts, Mrs May said, working under the command of police officers.

So, they are going through with that plan. I sure hope they quickly find and grill those members of this terror cell. And the military can stand down on the home front.

How long will the appeasement mantra be tried until the realization hits that it does not work?

I agree 100% with what you said. Round them up, eliminate them and show the rest of the world you mean business. There is a huge difference between collateral damage and what the Islamic terrorists do.

The problem with deploying military onto British streets is it only increases security as long as they're there and it's a short term response. Any terrorist with a brain is going to wait until the madness dies down and things are quiet again.
