Maxthon is a browser based on the IE platfrom it offers you a new way of surfing the web using the tabbed browsing technology interface and still have the fell of IE.
SADLY IT ONLY WORKS FOR WINDOWS.

If you have not yet downloaded FireFox, www.firefox.com... , you are missing out. This is the best browser out there! Offers way more than this maxthon that you talk about liking so much.

Theres many of these IE Shells out there...SlimBrowser (the one I use when I MUST use IE) comes to mind.

damn xp i wish IE was'nt intergrated im using firefox if i could just disable it maybe there would be less security holes on my computer

IE can be disabled if you goto add/remove programs and then to add/remove windows components then internet explorer can be de-selected from the installed list and so removed from your puter and hopefully gone forever!!

Nope, it can never be gone totally. Its to integrated into XP. Add/Remove will only remove the shortcuts and stuff to IE. You could still go to Explorer and type in a webaddress, and the GUI will change to be IE, and it will go through to the URL.
