Over the last year or two I've been changing a lot in strange ways.
Like with all types of celebrities, I find it so weird how we treat them.
For example some band plays a good song and suddenly they are more important than average people.
Or some guy or gal stars in a movie and now we idolize them.
This behavior is repeated everywhere, from corporate world to politics to painting or whatever.
When we like something someone does, we direct a bizarre form of attention towards them.
We praise and adore them, and defend them from critics.
Now I totally understand why I treat my children this way, because it's my job to do that for them so they grow up knowing they have someone
supporting and loving them - but I still cannot figure out why we do this for people we've never even met.
I think everyone is guilty of this as well, including me. I cannot think of one person that doesn't exhibit this behavior.
But I can easily imagine an advanced alien culture on another world that does not do this at all.
That's probably one aspect that makes it really weird to me.
That song Bitter Sweet Symphony somehow elicited this comment from me.
That's even weirder.
