If you work high up in the government.. and you know coming clean or releasing private information that shows your boss or bosses boss in a bad light will most assuredly get you fired, but you know it should be public and it's the right thing to do...

Are you going to let the paper or websites print your name? Or are you going to ask to be anonymous?

That's what I don't get about everyone hating on the "anonymous source" .. its the only way for people in the know to come clean or give us the real story without them suffering blowback

That's why there are established procedures for whistleblowers.

If you are one of these leakers and you believe you have something damaging to Donald Trump ... do you need to leak it privately to the press? In this climate on the Hill, aren't there plenty of sympathetic Congressmen, of both parties, that you could take your stories and evidence to?

What you see going on now is the unending chaos that happens when a source realizes that they really don't anything except circumstantial evidence at best and a narrative must be served, so they leak it to the sympathetic press which is not too invested in truth, only in doing political damage.
