Righto: Bit confused now.

So before it was MSM being all wrong, criminal etc for publishing Trump gave out classified info, with advisor McMaster saying he was there and it never happened, to now Trump is saying he did and so what if he does?

I'm in a bit of a spin here.

Welcome to the world of Trump.

What's weird about his tweet is that he doesn't specifically say that he shared classified information. He just says that he has a right to share information. But, this is a strange response to all the news that he shared classified information.

Typical Trump though. Everyone will have to interpret what he really means.

Trump just made McMaster a liar.
Announced. It's his right to declassify anything he wants to.
So last night this never happened and McMaster was in the room to this morning," yeah I did so what? It's my right if I want to."

Didn't I say this last night???We know how this ends. Here we are...

Last week every surrogate went out and defended his claim it was the deputy AG report that resulted in the firing of James Comey. Then he gets on tv tells Lester Holt it WAS because of the RUSHER FAKE NEWS that made him fire Comey.
Now he sends the head of the NSA to lie for him and this morning tweets that yes he did pass on classified info to the Russians.
Wonder how McMaster feels this morning now that he's lied for the president and the president threw him under the bus.

Source please
I looked and did not see it on the usual suspects.
Found it
He does say he has the right to declassify what he like( that is true is it not?)
I do not see anything to dispute what mcmaster said
Perhaps you did not read what mcmaster said
He did not say they did not discuss ISIS
Mcmaster said the wapo story is false and he(mcmaster) was in the room so he knows trump did not share methods and sources

Please point out where trump is not consistant with mcmaster?

As opposed to sitting in silence?

I dont see how the tweet invalidates Mcmasters statement.

Who cares about Trump's spin? The point is that he confirmed that he shared the information.

Is there something wrong with providing people who are fighting terrorists with information on the terrorists?

Seems like a good idea to me.

I'm not an expert on governmental preservation of records but if there's a recording he's obligated to turn it over. That's my understanding.

yes but what information? we have our own intel gathering aswell. not sure if u understand just how much classified stuff comes across a presidents desk, but alot of it is classifed and it is shared in diplomatic meetings. for example, when the cuban missile crisis was happening JFK had a meeting with a russian ambassador. he had the classified photos from the U2 overflights of cuba sitting in a drawer right next to him. he hounded that ambassador about the missiles, who btw had zero knowledge of them being there cause he was kept out of the loop, he hounded this man and revealed classified info during the conversations. many of which can be listened to today if u search around. atm we are both operating in the same theater, so sharing some information can avoid a crisis that could escalate things further. ie maybe russia doesnt bomb that city they suspect terrorists to be in knowing we have an op going on in that same town. theres a million and one reasons, it doesnt mean its bad, evil, or irresponsible. all thats going on is people are making assumptions and playing armchair president. without the real facts were far too uninformed to make a concrete statement.

Talk about grabbing at straws, at this point your scraping the wood off the bottom of the wagon.

And you don't have an argument because you are terrified this is true. So you sarcastically dismiss me instead.

So you have no problems with Trump sharing classified information with Russia? Information that we aren't even allowed to share with our closest allies? That isn't concerning in the LEAST to you?

Yes. If it violates laws to disseminate that information. Is there anything wrong with keeping emails on a personal email server?

depends. its like the jfk files. classified until deemed safe to release. if the information being released can put things at risk, then no it would be withheld until it no longer is at risk.

Why is the actions of Trump so illegitimate compared to the rest of our historical Presidents, if he did share this intel (which he has the right to as President) why are folks from the left so hell bent on critiquing EVERYTHING. I know the answer, it's because you have people like Hillary who come out on T.V., "I'm part of the resistance." Obama spending his last days undermining the candidate (imagine if Bush came out against Obama like that, holy # batman!) All of the lefties can't even recognize the President is carrying out his duties without losing your freaking minds. It is so tiresome and old now.

He can declassify almost anything if he so chooses, he is the leader of the United States and it might of actually be beneficial to "national security" (another buzzword people use to scare others into submission) to tell the Ruskies what's going on with ISIS. But now, if he did share this intel, instead of it being discrete, has been "leaked" to the press and the whole world knows now. Pray tell me the logic in that? The media is THE danger to national security because of their ravenous, constant seeking of classified and confidential info so they can get a scoop. The rags need to just go out of business, they're not relevant anymore, and cause nothing but discontent in this nation.

Right because

"THE TWEETS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES"

Somebody should put that on a bumper sticker and a tee shirt.

This blows my mind. They are literally defending Trump doing the EXACT thing they were terrified of Hillary doing because of the email scandal.
