My favorite pic from the article:

I lol'd at this one because it's so true...

That is quite a bit of fine tail on that yacht.
It must be hard being a rich celebrity.

Some find it difficult.
Apparently Leo doesn't.

I was supposed to be underwater by now.

Why didn't the government subsidize my swimming lessons?

Lol we were supposed to all be toast by now because of the huge gaping hole in the ozone.

All you have to do is actually open your eyes to see past this bs.

Al Gore is the same way. He talks the talk about climate change but yet his carbon footprint is the size of the state of Texas. A multi-million dollar home, a gas guzzling private jet, luxury cars that have the worst carbon emissions rate in the history of automobiles.

I wish someone would point this stuff out in front of their faces to make these hyprocrites publicy shamed.

Regardless of the status of certain people. You want to preach about saving the climate, walk the path like a true climate change advocate

You are so right about what you just said. These people running the global warming agenda are blind to this, they are bull crap. I believe we should take better care of our environment, but these people just want to create businesses to boost the economy. I look at vehicles driving down the highway, there are too many of these efficient cars on the road. Getting thirty miles to a gallon instead of fifteen means nothing if you are driving twice as much.

I am glad that you abbreviated the list, because it would be really long if you made a complete one.
Anyway, who knows, we might have Leo on the list someday.
Many souls are troubled but don't let it show.

I was just looking at the photo from the point of view of a guy that isn't troubled by being surrounded 5 scantily clad hot young ladies on a yacht.
I don't know the troubles of a celebrity, it is true.

The elite Leftist / Progressives never actually apply their own ideological demands to themselves.

Pick anything and I guarantee the leftist elite will carve out a way for them to avoid it while forcing it on the populace.

They send their kids to private schools while forcing everyone else into crappy public schools.

They want you to live with no air conditioning and a tiny house while they have beach front homes and mansions.

They want you to ride smelly public transportation while they get chauffeured around in private cars.

They want to take your guns while they get their own armed private security.

They want you to pay more taxes while they use loops holes to avoid paying taxes themselves.

On and on...

Great point! Thought it was well worth repeating because it never gets addressed.

Technology can damn near holographically place Obama and the likes onstage anywhere in the world. So why the ignorant, gluttonous misuse of resources? Totally counter to what they claim to stand for. Do as we say not as we do.

I'm curious how they justify it? Do they think their presence is so vitally important their message would get lost in the technology? I'm guessing live performances pay better.

Theatrics and greed on parade. It's all about their bottom line and playing celebrity in the limelight. I'm afraid we've created monsters. They're political rock stars, Obama's "stroke me" world tour. Probably sells t-shirts/entertains groupies.

Those who see it for what it is are deplorable, stupid and need to STFU. We read way too much into what we see. Damn our lying eyes.

In some cases it is worse. Having your car battery charged by a coal plant and that battery needing to be replaced because it's a p.o.s., and then to top it off that battery sitting in a landfill leaking and polluting the environment.

Yeah, lots of what they say is enviro friendly is far from it. Corn gas is not enviro friendly, neither are nuclear power plants. The mines and waste from nuclear materials is very bad, and since they made those nuclear plants, our energy use doubled almost imediately and it has gone up a lot since then. The waste of energy has gone out of this world.

Progressives/Leftist are about virtue signaling. It isn't so much about solutions, but just demonstrating to others that you are "hip" or down with whatever the supposed intellectual cause du jour happens to be.

I live in a very progressive community. I'm talking raging red diaper, LBGTQ, hippy, ambiguous gender, on Obama's nut sack type of community. I mean you would get your house vandalized for having a Republican yard sign during election season. Anyway, it is a lovely community except for the politics. It is also a relatively wealthy community as well. In fact, I'd say the area is rich by most standards.

Out for a walk with the wife and we walk by a house that we had considered buying. It sold for $850,000. In the driveway was a Prius. Of course, it had a bumper sticker talking about we are the 99%. My wife laughed. Sure, you are the 99% in your damn near $1 million dollar house...

Good to hear your neighbors are so very impressed with their progressive community. I imagine they've worked hard for a lifestyle that suits them so well but so have we.

Personally I see no value in "Obama nut sack type" community living. Having to put on a show/be on display to prove caring/activism strikes me as fake and wasteful.

People living here are sick of that kind of lifestyle. Most of us have lived in cities and now we know better. We're not trying to prove a thing. No one bothers putting on much of a show, haven't seen anyone in a Prius LOL, mostly jeeps/pickups.

I'm in Colorado, lots of richies out here. Even in this small rural community, the "LBGTQ, hippy, ambiguous gender" communities are very well represented. Actually we're not that different but unlike you all we're not at each other's throats over our differences. We're pretty much on the same page.

We see a lot of wasteful spending, frivolity and disrespect for American taxpayers/voters from an ever growing, warped elitist class. Maybe Obama/Gore etc. justify their showy displays as a necessary evil to promote a worthy cause but it's hypocritical and counter productive. Certainly there are better less wasteful ways but unfortunately too many people just want a show, your neighborhood is proof of that.

Maybe focusing on less wasteful lifestyles/delivery methods would lend some credibility to Obama, his ilk and their cause but they don't care how they appear to us. So it's hard to believe they honestly care about the climate. They come off as fake, self serving, ego maniacs trying hard to remain relevant and well paid.
