Comey did not have to be removed for Sessions to prosecute anyone involved. The AG / DOJ is technically over the FBI (along with the DNI). Charges are at the discretion of the DOJ and not the FBI.

Yes, but Comey could find more flimsy reasons to NOT recommend Hillary's prosecution.

As a police officer I can recommend all day the prosecuting attorney not fire someone and they dont have to listen to my advice / opinion. If a person randomly walks into a store and decides to shoot and kill a random person, all on video, with audio and a full confession by the suspect the prosecuting attorney can still decide not to prosecute.

The head of the FBI is in the exact same boat.

Given the position Lynch / Obama put him in its almost as if they planned to muddy the waters by making Comey the fall guy. I just dont think they planned on Trump A - surviving this long and B - firing people bot up to the task. Certainly something other Presidents have not done.

So basically we're back to square one where none of us knows anything because no one has actually seen any source anything.

We are all operating off of rumor and innuedo. You will believe what you want to believe. Those who hate Trump will believe this is about Trump/Russia because there are plenty of rumors about that. We are seeing plenty of this.

The rest of us are wondering what is going on.

I have yet to see anything except knowing that Comey gave bad testimony which we do know because his own agency corrected him and that testimony was about Huma Abedin and classified documents in email chains ... not about Trump and Russia which Comey confirmed there was still no evidence on.

The FBI Director serves at the pleasure of the President. What's REALLY surprising is that he wasn't fired as a matter of course as Trump took over. The President (any President) does not NEED a reason to fire the FBI Director. That he lasted over 100 days is remarkable.

What links would those be? I remember Breitbart trying to make this case last year before the election and from what I recall it was some BS like Lockheed Martin has donated to the Clinton Foundation, Comey once worked for Lockheed Martin. In other words, nothing.

The FBI is perfectly capable of keeping their cards close to their chest, and this is par for the course with a high-level counterintelligence investigation. Typically speaking, you don't go public with evidence during an ongoing investigation. It compromises the case and taints the evidence. Law enforcement 101.

Well Comey does have financial and other links to the Clinton Foundation and if I remember right Comeys brother is also linked into the Clintons.

So how did he profit off of severely hurting her chances to win?

Another school of thought is that her being cleared so to speak was the intended result but backfired.

Trump has gone out of his way to crap all over the alphabet agencies. None of them will forget it any time soon.

The FBI won't easily forget that POTUS would rather watch Fox and Friends than read his daily Intelligence briefings.... the ones compiled by the FBI.

None of them are happy about the fact that their boss is a toddler in a senior citizens body.

It would be more appropriate to say she benefited by not having Comey recommend charges.

Is it true that the reason the White House gave for firing Comey is because he did something bad to Hillary back on July 8, 2016? That's what I'm hearing on the radio.

According to the Deputy AG who wrote the recommendation to fire him said that Comey should not have come out and said all the things he did about hillary, in the way he did.

It was not a good presentation of the evidence and he shouldn't have even done the presser, usurping Lynch in that regard.

Yes, he violated protocols, but I'm so thankful that Comey and Wiki-leaks exposed what a DOG Hillary was. President Trump is indeed a man of patience, like he was with Flynn. But like all of us, he has his limits.

If that were the case, we wouldn't already know as much about it as we do.

After that clown spent 15 minutes laying out a case then 3 minutes saying do not take it to court... his days were numbered.

My WAG on the situation is more along the lines of the Trump team trying to get him to play ball... him waffling with every breath and finally after he "mis-spoke" they said F it... get out.
