Exactly.
Some of the dems in this hearing keep talking about the Russians spreading fake news, when in fact it was facts that were being revealed, if they were even responsible.

I've heard that several times in recent weeks. Is there any proof of the fake news.. any examples around?

They are on the record saying the Russians have been trying to influence elections for decades.
So how is this Trump's fault?

It's Trump's fault because Hillary lost, so that makes Russia and Trump buds. That's their idiotic reasoning.

Wouldnt it be hilarious if Obama profited from a russian election influence. I like this dimension.

I'm also looking for proof that the E.O. They keep discussing about immigration from countries that have issues with terrorism was based on religion?

That's the grounds that Yates made a decision regarding constitutionality (not the supreme court).

If that were the case why didn't the executive order include the dozens of other majority Muslim countries in it?

Lets leave Obama out of this. He is very sensitive and triggers easily nowadays.

They keep looking back at what Donald Trump said on the campaign Trail and not taking into account the actual executive order on immigration restrictions. Idiots at their finest.

They've all stated that yes Russia hacked the DNC and stole Podestas emails. They also state that Russia spread fake news in order to influence the US election in favor of Trump. No one here is saying that it means Trump colluded and that's not even supposed to be what Yates was going to testify about, unless I missed something.

What I have noticed is the fact that the democrats are more interested in making themselves look good rather than trying to find the truth. The problem with the testimony, it is being conducted be a bunch of lawyers that are really trained liars.

Have we learned anything at all so far that we didn't already know? Just another R and D verbal blood sport game.

Seems to me, based on all the statements I have heard today saying, "I saw that in media reports"....the politicians look to the media for their information. Do any of them really ever do their jobs and uncover anything!?

Oh, boy...Franken's up. This ought to be good. He makes all kinds of baseless assumptions and states them as facts.

Consider me not as up to speed on the role of the AG but wouldn't that need to be argued in court? I.e. what legal authority does an AG have to shut down and executive order?

You have to ask yourself.

Who the hell keeps sending Al Franken to the US Senate.

If you voted for this man....Shame has come over your district.

What a performance by Franken!!! Was he trying for an Emmy or something?

He should bring up Hillary and Bill's deep Russian connections.

(Ooops, Franken hasn't turned off his mike and is whispering over the next senator!....Have another swig, Al!)

I could do without the partisan posturing on both sides. The Russians have been meddling in our elections since before I was born and it's time we do something about it. I'm not a war monger, but if this doesn't constitute a legitimate act of war I don't know what does.

I don't know what can be done about this, but something significant does need to be done. The Russians are doing this for one reason -- to create CHAOS in our election process.

That being said, there is no evidence that Bill Clinton's wife would have won the election absent anything the Russians did. Trump had the "pu**y grab" leak on October 7. That obviously hurt him with millions of voters -- particularly Evangelicals. How do we know his win wouldn't have been even more lopsided than it was if that hadn't come out?

Personally, I would like the FBI and DOJ to take another look at the 2012 election where Obama beat Romney by a relatively tiny number of votes in OH and FL. Trump's victory was resounding compared to 2012.

Unless you count the millions of dollars he received as investments from Russian investors.

That in and of itself isn't criminal, but to say that the man has no connections to Russia is categorically untrue.

The Curious World of Donald Trump’s Private Russian Connections

Second, Donald Trump has also literally spent decades cultivating senior relationships of all kinds with Russia and the FSU. And public and private senior Russian figures of all kinds have likewise spent decades cultivating him, not only as a business partner, but as a “useful idiot.”

The article is well sourced. It may take about 15 minutes of your time, but you should read it completely. It details the connections he has to former soviet states like Kazakhstan and ties directly with Moscow. Trump Jr and Ivanka have been to Moscow, and cultivated even more Trump familial ties to the Kremlin and several of Russia's wealthy oligarchs whom have plenty of money to offer up to Trump as investments... for example David Bogatin, who also ownes 5 properties in Trump Tower. Or Vyacheslav Ivankov, who also resided in Trump Tower in a property that Trump personally sold him.

Both are tied to the Semion Mogilevich’s. That's the Russian mob for those of you unfamiliar with the name.
