Yes, but Tesla also liked hanging out with his friends.

Lots of folks feed pigeons in the park. Tesla didn’t stop there. He used to find ailing pigeons and bring them back to his hotel room. One pigeon, in particular, stole his heart. As he wrote about her, “I loved that pigeon as a man loves a woman, and she loved me. As long as I had her, there was a purpose to my life.”

It's not difficult.
People do not trust strangers.
They don't trust them because they do not know them.
If you do not know someone, it is foolish to trust them.

Sorry strangers, but you will always be looked at differently because you're strangers.

I fixed your reply for you.

Unless you DO implicitly trust random strangers, even in groups?

We also have lot's of examples of creeps who were not loners.

Dahmer, for example - quite a sociable guy, was charismatic enough to lure people back to his flat so he could drill holes in their heads and fill them with acid.

John Wayne Gacy - entertained kids at parties dressed as a clown, active in his local community - everyone thought he was a lovely fellow.

Ted Bundy - silver tongued, again - charismatic, the people that knew him were shocked.

There are creeps among introverts and extroverts. The stuff you are saying is kinda funny, though, so I don't want to discourage you.

You did claim to be smart yet lack the ability tio spell and use grammer. Normally I'd not care about that but, well...you had the audacity to call someone else arrogant. If you're gonna have such high standards I'd expect you to at least meet that criteria.

You could also do well to learn what modesty is...but I don't want to discourage such an up and coming talent such as you, you made this thread more entertaining than it should have been so fair play to you.

Not being social.
Unable to associate in a normal way.

There is no such thing as "Normal" in Psychology. Everything is based off of percentages. We may see a particular trait show up more often, but it's certainly not considered "Normal".

'Normalcy' would indicate the "right way" of things. Considering Psychology is driven by biology, and biology isn't a static phenomena, what is considered "normal" is subjective upon whichever societies view we're looking from.

What's socially "normal" for America isn't necessarily normal for Japan, for instance.

Hell, we could go further under the microscope and say whats socially "normal" for San Francisco, is not socially "normal" for New York.

I thought of another, very sociable chap we're probably all familiar with...

Jimmy Savile! In fact I could probably think of more extrovert types who were monsters than introverts...wouldn't that be a fun game?

I like loners a lot more than the guy or girl who is constantly trying to impress for no reason.

The media does blame mass shootings on loners a lot.

We also get stories like this www.abovetopsecret.com... where they guy locks himself in his room, writes 14 occult books, and disappears.

Loners are a mysterious people. Nothing wrong with being a loner, sometimes I'm jealous of people who can be alone, i completely understand not wanting to socialize.

I also think being a loner stems from fear a lot of the time. Overcoming any type of fear is part of a souls journey on earth.

Humans are social animals

As a sheep...you have swallowed the cool aid...Humans go through different moods interacting in social environments as the need arises. You probably work for some Total Information Awareness agency.

I don't trust people like you who make easily debunked generalizations

Ask yourself a question: If their's nothing wrong with the loner, then why are they alone?

The proof is in the pudding. If they were normal people they wouldnt be alone.

By definition.

Or they were intelligent enough to realize people like you are unoriginal parasites . Feeding off the ingenuity and labor of others- like moths to a flame.
Trying to steal life from that which you are to scared or lazy to provide for yourself.
Loners aren't sociopaths, they are smart enough to know that mob rule is psychosis. And thus distance themselves from fake herd mentality, and those who feed off of it.

Yes. they do this because we're a social species.

I'm not quite sure why so many of the people in here deny that humans are a social species?

Sorry loners, but you will always be looked at differently because of your anti-social behavior.

Could you please elaborate on your definition of anti-social behavior?

Not being social.
Unable to associate in a normal way.

Sorry but that is pretty weak. I can be charming and nice to you and you would never suspect a thing. I literally had the ability to manipulate any person i came in personal contact with to do my biddings for years. I got so good at it i had to force myself to quit. I left nothing but destruction in my wake and it took me a good while to realize that.

By your definition i'm anti-social because i don't give a f#ck about my neighbours and i hate gossip. Desinterest does not equals anti-social.

According to his definition, yes.

However, Manipulation of others, and not caring about your neighbors (I'm assuming you mean more than just your neighbors, correct me if I'm wrong) is Anti-social behavior, from a psychologists perspective.
