I wasn't talking about rioting but your intolerance to why they might be rioting. Maybe they have valid grievances against the government. What I don't understand is people on these forums complain about the government ALL the time. And then when people start rioting and doing something about it you all side with the police representing the BIG government you despise.

Whatever. Anarchy rules at least in the streets of Seattle.

Indeed some may have legitimate criticism of the government. There is a great deal of things that the Trump administration has done that warrant criticism.

Random chaos, violence and pointless destruction of property doesn't build much support for your cause.

The other problem is Antifa members has very little legitimate criticism. I've heard them speak. They just throw around buzzwords and accusations. They are motivated purely by ideology. Their ideology I might add is quite strange since a lot of them identify as socialists but their actual ideology bears almost no resemblance to socialism. I wonder if they ever read any Karl Marx?

Call me a conspiracy theorist but isn't funny that no matter when people riot in this country they are always painted as irrelevant crazies. One crazy person interviewed in the crowd may not represent the whole.

I protested the Iraq war in 2004. The media reported only 200,000 people showed up. My estimated from counting was over a million just based on the number of city blocks with marchers and my count of people within one city block. It took us 4 hours to go 20 blocks. We never even finished marching to the end. We had to leave because our bus was leaving. I was there. And I remember they way they covered the protest was they put the camera on a bunch of people talking on a podium. The people talking on the podium were a bunch crazy radicals. So that is what the media reported the protest was about.

The coolest thing about being in that march was this 20 year old girl standing on this rock with a megaphone. She had really nice legs, great outfit drab green shorts and shirt, she had bandana on. She was really pretty too. And she standing up on this rock screaming at the crowd, "What does democracy look like?" And the crowd would get super charged and yell back, "this is what democracy looks like". I just remember this girl so vividly.

That and the 20 topless women carrying the banner "Breast for Peace". They were fun to look at! I had fun protesting.

Follow the money. Those people are paid to travel and protest. Lock them up? Great, they were a useful idiot. Next protest more paid people will show up. Until you follow the chain it'll never stop.

Unless and until mass arrests are made, and serious charges filed, this crap will continue. Arresting a handful does not work.

Video cameras plus citizens arrests, equals no more antifa.
There will be blood

Local news this morning reporting that most were released soon after their arrest and only received citations.

They must be irrelevant. They can't be doing it on their own.

btw, do you have any evidence they've been paid?

Yeah, if I was a conspiracy theorists, and this was conspiracy site ,I'd say they are paid agent provocateurs.
Seriously they served no positive purpose..

I know a couple in the anarchist "community" here and they never seem to have a clue who these people are so I've wondered that same thing.

The problem is when the PoPo are sent to arrest citizens for doing what everyone knows what needs to be done.

And so who speaks for "everyone"? Antifa? And were these police really sent to arrest these people, or were they standing by as they do for every protest, and started arresting people when they began destroying property?

This kind of doublethink is pretty scary.

And then you said in this post earlier:

The day Demonstrators grab cops to drag them down and cuff them ... that'll be The Day. LOL No need to throw stuff at them. Just overwhelm them with numbers and secure their hands behind their backs. Get the word out!!

Your strange capitalisation of "Demonstrators" and "The Day" makes me think you're either a government shill, a brainwashed member of Antifa, or a macho teenager.

The only people who don't want peace are those who have never seen war.

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

William Shakespeare

Wait you didnt get paid? Well you didnt do something right did you? Here ill help contact Demand Protest they can help. They offer a monthly retainer of $2,500 plus “our standard per-event pay of $50/hr. Not bad huh? Point being because your not doesnt mean other are not. Though i have doubts of this occurring in mass i will say there are problem agitators out there. you only have to pay one or two to get the crowd rolling.
