A week before the 2nd round of the French election, eurosceptic presidential hopeful Marine Le Pen has reminded her supporters that the ”euro is dead” and should be left only for international trade, while France should regain control and reintroduce the Franc.
“We need to control the currency, to adjust it to the economy because today the single currency is a burden,” Le pen said ahead of May 7 French presidential election, stressing that the “euro is dead.”

You love Putin and you really like Le Pen. Who else with the capital letter "P" do you love or really like? Just curious.

I read that she stood down from FN to enhance her chances of being Prez
It is low but that's what the media said about BREXIT. So maybe next time after this term.

I follow French politics very closely, and first of all, Le Pen is running for President of France against Emmanuel Macron, an ex minster in Holland's government who defected and created his own party. The truly interesting thing that has happened is that France has totally rejected the two party system. Neither the Socialist nor the Center Right 'Répulicaines' are in the running for the Presidency, having been eliminated in the Primary. Le Pen only "stepped down" from her role as President of the Front Nationale so that she could better campaign for the Presidency, which will be decided on May 7, 2017.
I personally believe that Le Pen would be a catastrophe for France, as she and her family have tried to rule it for decades and will keep trying for decades to come, no doubt. However, please note that yesterday she chose her running mate, the man who will be her Prime Minister, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, who is an also-ran from the primary, who won only 4% of the vote. He is a Gaullist (a follower of the politics of Charles de Gaulle), and Marine Le Pen had to make HUGE compromises to get him to run with her. For example, Dupont-Aignan said in an interview yesterday that France will NOT leave the Euro, and that it will simply be renegotiated.
I would suggest that those of you that are excited about Marine Le Pen as President of France do a lot more research on her family, Le Front Nationale and her father, Jean-Marie Le Pen. You'll soon discover why Le Pen and Le Front Nationale have never been able to achieve any real power in France, which, unlike the US, is a nation of very politically sophisticated people.
