So...just to be clear. You guys think that global warming means it's hot all the time, all gear round

Man...they REALLY need to change the ATS tagline from deny to embrace ignorance.

...and in other news, in 1977 it snowed in Colorafo Springs on June 1st. I was in the miltary and had an outdoors job. All cyclical. I would posit the argument that Sadam Hussein lighting all his oil wells on fire in the early 90s is what has affected the windstream and weather cycles since, so I guess you would consider that man made. Case in point, I think you'll find many of the relatively recent US droughts started after that event. The dust bowl droughts of the 1930s would appear to be normal cucles.

Well Violator... you clearly don't understand global warming/climate change now do you? It doesn't mean that every place at every moment is hotter. That's what the idiots believe. What global warming means is an incremental average increase in temperature globally. That causes, amongst other things, rising sea levels, lowering of inland (freshwater) levels, and disruptions in established weather patterns (like snow in New Mexico in April). Suggest you read-up...

Yes, we understand.

Weather that does not fit the idea of Global Warming is just weather, and weather that fits your underlying premise is Global Warming.

For example, we are getting ready to enter the season that used to be summer, but because the weather is so often hot and dry with heat waves in various places as a matter of norm ... this season is now called Global Warming and used as evidence that we are all going to die.

Global warming is more complex than you may consider, it doesn't mean all parts of the world will be hot at the same time, their are things like airflow and altitude to consider. Maybe the cold weather is a result of all the warm air rising and pushing the cold air down.

Complex, because after all these years and advances in technology the weather men still can't get it right. Complex is an excuse. It's okay to say "I don't know"?

Complex, because the weather is not cooperatiing with the original scare tactics and they have to make s#t up as they go. Make us Out our faith in a guy with a lab coat and PHD?

Science in never settled. When you start to think science is settled, you are really thinking of a religious cult.

I just dont get these people. Anthropomorphic global warming/global climate change is settled science! There's simply nothing left to debate and those who attempt to argue otherwise are complicit with a crime against humanity right along with those in the oil and gas industry and the coal business.

Yea, pass some laws against questioning the science of global warming.

Lock them up!

whether (pun intended) or not climate change, in the sense of global warming exists doesn't matter necessarily. If true and there is global warming it doesn't matter because there is nothing we can do to stop it. Lets say the USA and Britain and all western, advanced countries decide to change laws and introduce taxes to stop climate change, it won't stop climate change. Why? because countries like China, India, Phillipines, etc etc won't change their laws and won't introduce taxes and so companies that were in western countries will flee to countries like China, India, Phillipines, etc etc and build factories that still produce the same ozone destroying toxins. At the end of the day if countries in the west decide to change laws and introduce taxes all it does is # its own people. The cards should be let to fly in the air and fall where they may. Then adapt.

That's what I'm saying.

It was in the upper eighties during the week in Illinois, it's clear that it's global warming!

Try not to think of Climate Change as Global Warming,

Climate Change involves many different alterations in global weather patters,
including the displacement of warm and cold air masses.

All due in part to a wavy jet stream.

Not Global warming any more, It's Global Climate Change it helps explain any and all weather that might be odd. It's bad stuff oceans are rising at a rapid rate so fast they can't even measure it. It's up a couple of millimeters in the last century alone!!

Agreed that it is Global Climate Change, of which Global Warming is an ingredient or product of the process. You are off on your sea level rise thought, as it is a lot more than a few mm last century, in fact it is presently averaging about 3.5 mm per year, and a 200 mm total rise since 1870 (about 8 inches). This rate can go asymptotic if too much land locked fresh water, like on Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland... makes it into the ocean.

The rate of sea level rise has not accelerated according to the tidal gauge stations.

No snow where we live, but it's been very cold for the season!! Never out of the forties today, which isn't usual for late April! "Global warming" my eye! It's just weather, which can be weird sometimes!!

That is correct, the RATE has not changed significantly, but with a trending rise in global temperature, there is a point where that land locked water will suddenly start to have a great impact.

Not showing but the rain has yet to let up bringing a late spring. This is a La Niña(one source) year -2016/2017. It has brought record breaking rain to the Pacific NW-explains some here. Snow later last year and earlier this last year more Inland NW and even some on the coast which is rare. Sources say the Southwest was/is affected as well considering if it is the La Niña bringing the snow.

Thats why they renamed it Climate change, it gives them carte blanche too do and say whatever they want, and they've brainwashed a generation since grade school to believe their propaganda
