I didn't see a thread for this so here it is. Already some excitement as Chicago moves up to take Mitch Trubiski from NC. This should be a fun first round.

My alma still has the O-Lineman who did a bang-up job keeping Garrett at bay in the bowl game this past season.

Not everyone can say their tackle made a 1st round draft pick look a bit less than his potential.

We'll see where Jordan Willis goes. He won't go 1st round, but someone is picking up a poor man's Garret when they get him.

Huh, Chiefs traded way up for Mahomes out of T-Tech. Given our complete lack of WR talent, I'm not sure how I feel about that.

We have Kelcy at TE, but after that, it's unreliable. They must be planning to upgrade there big time with Mahomes on board.

I'm sure Deshaun Watson is seething right now. I don't think his ego can handle being passed over.

Hill is a serious deep threat and Smith can't get him the ball deep. I was secretly hoping the Steelers could trade up and grab Mahomes early in the second round. The kid has talent

The kid knows how to win, but for all his experience he turns the ball over way too much. Big red flag for NFL war rooms

Edit to add Houston took him at 12. Given their track record with QBs, what does that tell you?

Looks like Texas picked up the big ego.

They saw their chance once KC passed him up.

Hill is, but I have doubts as to his durability over the long term. Mahomes isn't likely to be out there this season. And teams are going to aware of Hill and scheming with him in mind.

We need more threat than Hill and Kelcy. The WR core has been embarrassing for too long in KC.

Thats what I thought. Houston isn't exactly the place to cultivate an NFL QB.

Mahomes wasn't drafted to play this year. Any team drafting him knew that. He is going to sit for a year r two and learn. Andy Reid is a former QB coach. If he is the real deal then Andy will bring it out of him. Look for him in 2019

Yep, so they're going to be adding to the offensive targets somehow. They have to be. It makes no sense to snag a guy with Mahomes arm and not upgrade his targets. They have some time, but it's going to be happening soon.

This draft is very deep in wideouts and TEs.

While not a huge follower of football as i use to be. Since I live in TN guess you can call me a Titans fan. Saw they picked up Corey Davis on the news.
