I'm not tormented by not giving forgiveness for egregious acts done to me or my family.
Somewhere, it became the thing to do. And apparently you are ruined if you don't forgive. Why do we forgive? I suspect it's the religious thing.
Just learn and move on.
As long as you remove yourself from that person, it no longer exists unless your religion or society keep bringing it up and telling you how wrong you
are not to say "I forgive."
Enough of this hogwash guilt we try to impose on ourselves or others just because we choose to think differently.
