Curious Whirlwind of Events

This week is a doom porn purveyors wet dream.

We have a curious set of events and drills happening on the east coast known as Operation: Gotham Shield. In case anyone forgot, out of a New Jersey AM radio station last year there was a strange message that kept looping for a few days.

Meanwhile, rising tensions in North Korea with recent launches of weapons and their growing desperation among their ranks. Furthermore, the POTUS convenes the entire senate at the White House.

I can't remember a time in my life where tensions have been so high, but I'm a young man yet!!

Something to add in regards to the recording from last year.

April 26th is shaping up to be a busy day.

As we reported on Friday, that's when Operation Gotham Shield, an exercise involving FEMA, Homeland Security and a myriad of law enforcement and military agencies and which simulates a nuclear bomb blast over Manhattan, is set to conclude.

Then, as we learned earlier, April 26 is also when the entire Senate will be briefed by Donald Trump and his four top defense and military officials on the situation in North Korea at the White House, an event which Reuters dubbed as "unusual."

April 26 is also when the USS Carl Vinson is expected to finally arrive off the coast of the Korean Penninsula.

I am almost forty years old, and frankly, the last 20 years have been insane globally. The world of today has no semblance of the world of even twenty years ago. It sure as hell doesn't even vaguely resemble the world I grew up in.

Granted, anyone paying attention, could see a lot of this stuff coming 15-20 years ago, but I don't think anyone knew exactly how outrageous it was really going to be. Now, we're amidst the madness.

I personally think Bush, Obama, Trump, whoever, are convenient scapegoats. Much of this stuff has been headed our direction for quite some time. However, the typical view has always been "FORWARD HO!!" Yeah, that's worked "wonderfully." People, in general, just aren't very bright. That's just being frankly honest

Do you think it has caused a tactical change in the way things are done to keep them secret or perhaps they are counting on the fact that by putting it out in the open that no one will notice or care?

You are too young. I lived in the 60s and 70s cold war-it was scary.

I also lived in Miami during the Cuban Missle Crisis where we elementary kids practiced what to do if hit by a nuke from Cuba.

Then, knew many young men who died in Viet Nam-and when they pulled the draft numbers every year-tv news showing dead soldiers.

This isn't new or even special right now. But then again, who knows? We don't depend on the 6 o'clock news anymore-it's 24 hour world horror stories.

DJT has already fallen in line, so his assassination is off the table. I pretty much knew he was going to be intimidated into submissions, like all greedy men before him.

I think KJU is the valid option, although it escapes me as to how Assad has dodged the reaper this long.

Honestly Goldman Sachs has declared the more likely timeline for the government to shutdown again is October (surprise!).

Interestingly enough, there is like zero coverage right now on ATS about the debt ceiling and possibility of a government shutdown this week. Goldman Sachs puts it t only 1 in 4 this week, with the odds increasing to %50 in October. And yet that discussion is completely ignored right this moment.

Good call. I had heard about it in passing but not attributed it to much more than "average day in DC."

As far as Trump knows IMO, war benefits the economy. I'm sure he's been versed on it moreover since becoming POTUS and he sees it as a logical way forward. Unfortunately, his sons and grandsons will not enlist.......

Mass surveillance for starters. Number one.
The Deep State control, that was pretty big for the last year, and actually has gotten talked about on the MSM finally. Number two.
The Iraq WMD lie, that was conspiracy theory for a few years, until it was admitted they had none. Fro theory to fact. Thats three.
The conspiracy of ISIS's true financiers and those who support them. The former Prime Minister of Israel just admitted recently that they worked together. Not to mention the volume of the oil sales to Turkey that was stopped in 2015 by Russia. It was a conspiracy about who was keeping ISIS alive then, which I say has been proven by the very parties assisting them and now are throwing them under the bus only sort of kind of.

I count four so far. I believe I am missing a few though.
