In the Condemned series of games, the player eventually stumbles upon a massive conspiracy.
It all begins with you, a detective following a murder case where the suspected murderer (and serial killer) mimics the styles of other serial killers
to throw off detectives.
In the first game, your character is framed for the murder of two police officers at the scene of the original murder that they were investigating.
This leads to a proverbial dive into the rabbit hole for your character, where a city wide conspiracy is exposed to you.
You learn about a powerful cult, similar in theme to the Illuminati, called "The Oro."
Through chance encounters, investigative work, and with the help of a police insider, your character pieces together a massive conspiracy and puzzle
of a plot.
In the end of the first game, your character becomes aware of the main detail related to this cult, The Oro.
It is called "Oro Invictus" which in Latin translates to, "invincible voice."
The Oro Invictus (Latin for Invincible Voice) were an ancient cult that formed over the unique genetic vocal cords that some people possessed. Due
to the rarity of such individuals, those without these powers attempted to emulate their abilities through the use of metal implants. It was stated
that the Oro had been formed over 3000 years ago.
In the second game of the franchise, your character, now a dilapidated homeless man, discovers that not only is he technically a "part" of the cult,
but that he has the oro invictus.
Essentially, your character can paralyze and even knock people unconscious with nothing, but his voice. In effect, your character's voice has EMP
qualities.
The series blew me away, and had a lot of other little details that alluded to the illuminati, social control and false flags, as well as potential
real conspiracies.

Sounds awesome, but I'm guessing it's only on PC, and I haven't taken the leap into that rabbit hole yet. Once I do there's going to be a lifetime of
great games to catch up on.
